This restaurant used to be so good. Food was mediocre at best. Our server Gerald was very personal and good. He redeemed our overall experience. The host was on his phone most of the time. We had a gift card that was recently given to us and we found out Uptown is no longer associated with that restaurant group, so they would not honor our gift card. They did not even offer a discount. Overall this restaurant was a disappointment and we will not be back.

This is the second time we have attended the monthly dinner. This month's menu centered around Tequila. The food was plentiful and delicious, as were the drinks. We truly enjoyed dining outdoors at a communal table. Will definitely look for another adventure.

Nice and quiet atmosphere. Cocktail was tasty. My lemon pasta was dry. Not enough sauce at all. I didn't finish it at the resturant so I took it home. Warmed it up the next day and it had completely dried out.

As always, our experience there was great. The excellent food and drink was accompanied by prompt, knowledgeable, and cheerful service. In summary, the Uptown met all of our needs.
Grilled chicken skewer entree was delicious. Service was amazing. Definitely will be back.

The Uptown Cafe serves consistently delicious food. Their prices are reasonable, the atmosphere is nice, and the wait staff always does a nice job. It's nice that they have complimentary valet parking too, because parking along Bardstown Road can sometimes be a challenge. The Uptown has a really nice cocktail menu, including several different versions of the Old Fashioned, and a good selection of wines. They usually have a couple of specials as well as a nice variety on the regular menu. I recently tried the Panko Crusted Cod for the first time. It was very good!  All in all, just a really nice place for a relaxing, enjoyable dinner.

We were celebrating a birthday and there was not one chocolate dessert! Menu very limited compared to previous visits. Hadn't been there in a while and was very surprised.

The appetizers were delivered moments before the entrees. The entrees were, for three of the five guests, inedible. The stir fry tasted of nothing but sauce and the salmon croquettes were undercooked. We will not return. It is not the uptown of the past.
