We have never had a bad meal at this lovely breakfast and lunch restaurant. Locally owned and located inside Norton Commons neighborhood makes for a bright and cheery experience. You can never go wrong when ordering the lemon cream cheese crepes top with your choice of fruit blueberries or strawberries. The fish sandwich is huge and delicious. The servers are always nice and very helpful.

The first time I visited was a Friday morning and it was super underwhelming, bland, and the potatoes were undercooked. This visit, a Saturday morning, everything was well prepared and I was happily surprised. Still wouldn't say the menu is anything special but you can't beat having a place that has solid food.

We had omelets, pancakes, and eggs. Everything was good and the service was great but $40 for 2 adults and a child for breakfast was a bit much. Nice atmosphere in an upscale part of Louisville so I suppose it would cost a little more.

I enjoy the home cooked food @ Verbena Cafe in general, however a consistent 45 min wait time for breakfast with Kraft Mac & cheese for the kids does not give Verbena 5 stars. Sorry I’ve tried many times. I know the owner is a hard working woman & cannot take that from her. I’d give a 3.5 if that were an option. Keep up the consistent home cooked food for your regulars.

Brunch place was great average price for what you get around town for the same thing. Ordered the salmon Benedict was really good and very tasty and filling. They used real salmon and not smoked salmon like some other places.
