The menu is an odd combination at best. The Galt house is definitely struggling in the food department .

The food wasn't the best the meat very tuff. The wait staff has issues with communication. Not being able to understand the English. When they spoke we didn't understand what they were saying. One lady told us she didn't speak English. The pie was a boxed store Bough piece for $9.00. We really were expecting more and could be the issue for a $95.00 quick dinner.

Difficult to find and a bit disappointing when you get there. Couple of menu items were out. Server had to check on both (separately) to confirm. Skip the fried green tomatoes - they are sliced so thin there isn't much tomato. Overall it was fine but not special, not a repeat.

By far the the worst experience I've had at a restaurant. I had reservations for 10:00, checked in at 9:45 and by 10:15 everyone walking up after us was getting seated while we were waiting. When I washed up to the hostess she didn't care and said I told you it will be awhile. Another lady overheard I had reservations and ended up seating us. Once we were seated at 10:20 we were told we were too late and couldn't order off of the breakfast menu and had to do the buffet because menu ordering closed at 10:30 even though it was 10:20. The food on the buffet was empty and cold. Will not be returning.

We waited around two hours to get our entrees. We were brought around champagne while we waited. We were also given free chocolate cake. In total we were there for three hours. Our server was very nice as was the rest of the staff. My husband and I each ordered rare filets with lobster tails. The filets were more like medium, and the lobster tasted like it had been reheated or something. Our meal was not to the standard we were expecting. Because it was already so late when we received our food, we did not make a complaint. However, for the price, we were very disappointed.

Avoid the French Onion soup at all costs. Arrived warmish as a bowl of brown water with a slice of grocery store bread floating under an unmelted slice of cheese. Sent back and the replacement was equally awful. Other food was just ok. My KY Hot Brown was burnt so the skillet the smothered pork chop was good. Service was awful. No silverware, appetizer delivered with entree. Waiter disappeared and messed up the bill. The breakfast buffet the next day was better although service was lackluster. Buffet server was excellent.

In general it was okay. Nothing wowing and nothing bad. The French onion soup was. Really good. My husband had the chili and he said it was good. We had the fried green tomatoes. Husband really like them. I wasn't a fan. Entrees I had the KY brown which again was okay. Not what I was expecting. Turkey was thin slices of lunch meat. Husband the the pork chop which was a little dry. Garlic mashed were good and bourbon glazed Brussels were a little over glazed. Waiter was attentive and manager checked on table.

Terrible service. Got seated and then literally ignored for 20 minutes until I could finally catch someone to even bring me water - and even that took 5 more minutes to get a server over to me. Food was fine but would never go back.

I am a huge fan of the Environment • Vibe!

The staff is consistently upbeat • friendly!

(Van • Christina • Suri & Mallory) are the absolutely Best of the Best staff — 10 out of 10!

The esthetic is cute, but not worth it for the food. The house-made kettle chips were the highlight — super tasty and probably the only reason this isn’t a 2-star review.

The burger I had was just...meh. Not great. Definitely expected better from a restaurant like this. Wish I had seen the low rating on Google before sitting down.

Service was kind of slow, even though the restaurant was nearly empty. The waitress was friendly, but she didn’t even know what was in their “special sauce” — not super confidence-inspiring.

Overall, peaceful vibes, but the food and service didn’t deliver and I would not go back.

It looked like a great place and our server was polite enough. But there is no pride in the kitchen. We could hear them laughing in the kitchen from the dining room. So, we waited about 20 minutes for lunch. The Ky Hot Brown was a tasteless, watery soup. It wasn’t hot. It wasn’t brown and I don’t think KY would claim it.
It’s hard to mess up a ham and cheese sandwich, but the toast was burnt. That didn’t upset us as much as the fact that they served the fries over the burnt spot (but we found it). The server offered to take it back but we weren’t going to wait any longer.
We WERE happy with Thelma’s cheeseburger (the restaurant upstairs), but they weren’t serving food on Sunday. Perhaps the wrong restaurant is serving food on Sundays.

Don't come if you are in a hurry or even if you want to be waited on. Had to wait close to 10 minutes before grabbing a waitress who stated “this isn't my section, I don't know whose it is”. A hostess overheard and asked her to take care of our table. Decided to get the buffet since we had to be somewhere at 9am. Asked for silverware and napkins but ended up going to the front and getting it ourselves out of the basket they have by the hostess stand. Eggs were powered. French toast was dry and hard, grits were cold. All this for $25 a person too. Better off going elsewhere for sure.

The restaurant is huge and institution-like. The buffet was disappointing. Dried out scramble eggs and some other dishes that looked dried out. Danish pastries appeared to be pre made run-of-the mill. Opted for a Denver omelet. Some menu items offered hash browns or breakfast potatoes. I asked for the hash browns, was told they were the same as the breakfast potatoes. No option for toast or biscuit.

Had breakfast at Walker's Exchange and loved it. The buffet was top-notch with tons of great options, everything fresh and tasty. Big fan of the omelet station and the southern-style dishes. What really stood out was the friendly staff. Everyone was super welcoming and made the whole experience feel relaxed and easy. Definitely worth a stop if you're at the Galt House or nearby!

Noelle was a great server, and the rest of the staff was also friendly. Most importantly the buffet was perfect. A wonderful experience all around!
