I like the family-friendly, yet bourbon forward atmosphere at Waylon's. We went on a Wednesday so it wasn't very crowded. One of the better bourbon selections I've seen around Kentucky restaurants. The candied bacon was sweet with a little kick, which I loved, and I had the pork green chile tacos for an entree. They were AMAZING. The green pepper jelly has a flavor to die for but a spicy kick that maybe is not for everyone. If you like spicy tacos go for the pork! Only complaint was they went a little too heavy on the simple syrup in their old fashions and could expand their menu a bit more. Otherwise, great for a family night out , there's a little something for everybody to enjoy at Waylon's.

Who pays extra for MAYO?! It isn't even made in house! The burgers are dry and not juicy! DOA! I had 1/2 of The Waylon's melt & 1/2 Texas gold. Yuck. The ketchup is watery. Has Mr. Waylon eaten here? I am sitting here in the restaurant and now I know why it is not full. The manager came by to ask how the food was and then smirked as I gave a response. She was in a hurry to walk away. She really didn't want to hear anything I said. I was going to say the bacon appetizer was great. Hence, the 2 stars. Now she will never know. The Whiskey Agave wings were fatty (I should have taken a picture) and void of flavor. The waitress was nice. The waitress & bacon gave the two stars. Not coming back. Wanted to try the tacos...I'm going to the truck down the street. Hey Mr. Waylon, take your name off this place & run! Oh yeah, the wet Knapp's are nice.

I've been here once and have different take aways, mostly positive. Great happy hour drink specials; however, the menu needs a little tweaking if they're going to compete with Drakes next door to them. I'm going to give them another go because the staff is super friendly and helpful. They have great outside seating and the chicken wings are delicious!

Third time here with the family. It just gets better every time. The chopped salad is awesome. The tacos and nachos are great. We will continue to come here. All the great spots in Louisville and we keep coming back here. That says alot

I wanted to try this place for a while. It wasn't my atmosphere at 45yo. Maybe it's better for 20 somethings that don't know any better or even a 30 something that hasn't grown up yet. It doesn't do the decor or namesake justice. The apps weren't special. Had 1 drink and left. It has a real identity crisis imo. Here's hoping you enjoy it more than I did.

You can get any of the Tacos for $2 - and they are good! This will become our Tuesday night place for dinner. Getting out of any restaurant for under $25 for two is almost impossible until now - Try it out!

Well. Tried to come for dinner with a party of 12 and was told they couldn't seat us because they only have 3 waitresses and 1 of which is on vacation. We were forced to move next door to Drakes which is fantastic. They were only seating parties of 4 or less. At this rate they will not be open much longer. We've eaten her before and love it. Really hope they get their act together.

10 out of 10 food, nice laid back environment, wasn't busy at all and I have no idea why. Would recommend.

It is immediately obvious that this place is affiliated with Merle's Whiskey Kitchen. Right down to the killer green chili pork tacos. We went well after lunch rush, and we had great service from our server Trey

Awesome menu selection with something for everyone. Atmosphere is fun and loud with plenty of TVs. The fried chicken plate is a huge portion of chicken with an equally huge portion of mac and cheese and a slice of warm watermelon. The burger was well seasoned and delicious as was the spoon bread appetizer. The kale/quinoa salad was a wonderful delicious healthy option, however there's a significant disparity in portion size...very confused as to why this full-size salad is served in a small bowl (approximately 7 inches across) while all other portions are very generous!?! As the healthy eater in the group, I felt skimped on and had to eat again at home. Would definitely recommend and return, but choose a different (larger) salad.

3 tacos we're really good. Had a good atg beer to go with and enjoyed visiting their bourbon bar. Staff was friendly and accommodating. Look forward to next time.

I thought this place was pretty good. The environment is trendy and unique. They have bar food like burgers and tacos. They serve locally brewed GoodWood beer that was tasty.

Had dinner here while in town for business. Brisket tacos were very good. The bacon appetizer we had was amazing.

I don't leave a lot of reviews, but Waylans was too good not to. My family and I went here for my mom's birthday dinner. Her first choice had fallen through because of how busy it was, but we're glad it did because Waylan's exceeded our expectations. We started off with the pretzels and queso and an order of the bourbon maple bacon. The pretzels came out piping hot, very soft, and absolutely delicious. The queso that accompanied it had excellent flavor with a bit of a kick, but not overwhelmingly spicy. The bacon was to die for! It also had a kick to it, but it blended with the sweetness of the caramelized sugar and was perfect. Add in the maple dip and you end up in heaven. For my entree I had the boss hog burger. That burger was humongous! It had a brisket blend patty, pulled pork, chorizo, bacon, guacamole, and queso. Holy hell it was delicious and I ate every bite of it. I had the garlic parmesan fries as my side. They were nice and crispy with great flavor. We also had a side of the sweet potato casserole and the corn bread. Both of those just made my heart melt with how delicious they were. Everything came out hot, there were absolutely no complaints, and the service was excellent. We ended up ordering both desserts too. Again, both came out hot and were great endings to a perfect meal. The bourbon whipped cream with the nutella dessert could be a dessert on it's own. Overall, I highly recommend Waylans and plan on making it a regular dinner spot.
