This place is good, but not the best. They need a phone number and the wait is so long.

I’ve been so anxious to try Wheated and it definitely lived up to the hype! We went at peak dinner time and had a short wait but were immediately offered drinks while we sat near the bar. The meatballs were amazing and the pizza was cooked perfectly (we did NY Style Pie with Pepperoni). This is absolutely a must go to in Louisville. We will be back, mostly to try the Espresso Martini with the Parmesan mountain!

Pizza was great! The only downside was that there was 2 of us and they sat us in a corner table that was right on top of 2 other groups. It was crowded and was so loud we could not talk.

Much higher end Pizza place in an area filled with Pizza places. Very homey with a nice bar and friendly service.

Best Pizza in Louisville, in Kentucky, and maybe anywhere!
As for the pizza. It’s DELICIOUS! There’s a reason the One Bite Pizza Review called co-owner David Sheridan a Pizza Genius. The New York Style makes you feel like you are sitting in Brooklyn having a slice. An off the menu request I can’t recommend enough is to order a New Haven Pizza. Within a two week period we went to The Big 3 in New Haven (Pepe’s, Modern, and Sally’s) and The Wheated New Haven Pizza is even better than New Haven! And as a reminder for the New Haven pizza, it’s not burnt, it’s charred. The flavors in that are delicious.
As for the restaurant itself, you are welcomed by a really nice outdoor patio to dine on or as you go inside you see the incredible remodel job that was done with very cool interior with nice handmade furniture, an open concept kitchen, a super clean dining room and upstairs, and one amazing and friendly staff serving what is amazing pizza. It will be a highlight of your night.
Run don’t walk to Wheated ASAP! We drive two hours to get there, so if you’re anywhere near it, then it’s a must go!

I'd give this a 4.8 star experience. For now. But I have no doubt that this will be an EASY 5/5 star restaurant once it's been open longer. It's only been open a few months it seems.
I'm going to give you the Pros, Cons and some notes.
Pros
- Best pizza in town. By far. Pizza feels like a blend of New York + new haven style pizza.
- OVER THE TOP staff. The workers are constantly moving trying to work and take care of customers. They were so extremely nice and I truly felt like they were there to "serve".
- super clean facility and good smell
Cons
- Understaffed in waiters. Waited around 25 mins after finished eating before we got our check.
- Wednesday at 6pm had 20 min wait. Speed up table service to clear tables.
- Tables are very close. Not enough seating area.
Notes - Caesar salad is probably the best I've ever had. I do think it could be slightly improved with a few more anchovies. Next time I'll probably order extra! Also, it's a big salad. Can definitely split it between 2 people.
The huge container of water left at the table is an amazing idea. Especially with waiter time issues.
This place would be so much more successful in a place like St Mathews or Jeffersonville IN. Much cheaper to buy a larger facility with much better seating and parking. Oh, yeah, parking sucks around this restaurant area.

Pizza is pretty good, personally I prefer The Post. Service was wonderful even though they were super busy. Atmosphere is nice, little crowded and loud, but it is Bardstown Road! All in all I would recommend, best Pizza in Louisville? No, but very good and made with quality ingredients.

Incredible all around. Ignore the idiotic negative reviews from people who have no idea of what they are talking about when it comes to food, let alone pizza. By far, the best pizza within 400 miles of Louisville. The salads and the meatball appetizer are all perfect. David is a wonderful and super attentive owner and the staff is very nice and efficient. It’s a bit noisy, but that’s only because it’s packed with people who understand how good it is…!

This is what really good pizza is supposed to taste like. I think calling it “NY style” is a bit of a disservice to the pizza. It’s “NY style” in the same way Lucali or Di Fara (destination pizza spots in Brooklyn) are NY style. Which makes sense because apparently this is the second location of a Brooklyn restaurant by the same name.
