“We stopped by after an early bird Valentines Day. The staff was so welcoming and lovely. The decor is great and matches us perfectly; he loves bourbon, I likes wine. The game corner with cozy couches was a great place to unwind. The 6 flights were a great option to sample the extensive wine list at a super reasonable price. We are so sorry to have slept on this gem for so long. They hold several events, tastings and socials. Looking forward to adding to our regular rotation and checking out the calendar!“

We overindulged on some recommended reds, and thoroughly enjoyed sharing a few small plates and the dinner special of salmon over fettuccini pasta. We were pampered by the staff and treated to a birthday dessert. We can't wait to come back.“

“While I recognize and appreciate good bourbon, I can’t get away from my favorite spirit, mezcal. I live in a control state where only like 10-15 mezcals are sold in the state controlled liquor stores….statewide. Anytime I go out of state to non-control states or out of the country, I always make a point to find the stores and bar/restaurants that have the best mezcal. Pretty Decent did not disappoint. Service and atmosphere were great. Mezcal selection was unsurpassed outside of Mexico or major metropolitans ie DC, NYC, Chicago. Service was commendable, friendly and warm. Wish I had more time and money to spend. Cannot emphasize enough that mezcal selection was amazing.

Parking was on the street. There is a plant shop in the front. Food is limited, but it was good.

I know how hard restaurant work is, and I’ve always appreciated the care the staff put in. But our most recent experience left us disappointed. The service was unexpectedly inattentive. We ordered a nice bottle of wine, but our server never returned to refill our glasses. A French fry order was forgotten, and when we asked about it, things seemed to unravel. The server was visibly exasperated. A supervisor eventually stepped in, handled things professionally, and assigned a new server—but by then the mood had shifted. This wasn’t just any lunch—it was a farewell meal with a dear friend leaving town, and I’d hoped for a flawless experience. At over $230, I expected more attentive service. I don’t share this lightly. Connors has been a place we’ve enjoyed many times. But this visit left me disappointed, and I won’t be returning anytime soon. There are many excellent Sarasota restaurants where $250 buys not just a good meal, but service that feels genuinely welcoming.“

“The capital grille is an excellent experience. I was thrilled to be there with friends for a beautiful luncheon. The atmosphere is elegant and roomy the servers left nothing out . All options available to us. Nothing was left off the table. Michael, our server was thoughtful nice, just so nice. The ladies and I enjoyed a wonderful luncheon this afternoon.“

“Such an interesting place! Absolutely a wonderful spot for locals and visitors alike. The staff here are friendly and fast. The atmosphere is clearly well thought out, but not overly fussy. “How could we rate Ruth’s anything other than 10/10. My Wife graduated college yesterday (Thank you, Thank you) and our experience at this establishment felt personally catered. Khalil, Ricky, Kiki… this is exactly how an upper echelon dining establishment should be run. Multiple service checks, casual conversation, fast cooking, and the food was of the quality to which we paid. I couldn’t be more grateful. For the sake of the readers I’ll keep it simple, take a night out at Ruth’s. When you do, ask for the servers listed above!“
