A great wholesome friends and family diner
Highly recommend any time of day. Great food and excellent service. Brice was our waiter tonight and he was fantastic. The hot brown was delicious. Will definitely return!
It was tasty...chicken fried steak nice portion, good home fries...eggs was too runny to my liking and pancake was very cold. But I may give another chance; I am interested in the selection of the various hot browns they have. The selection was steak(prime rib), salmon, or one more I can remember.

Group of 4 sat for 20 minutes with no acknowledgement from a waiter. The table next to us that got seated after us got served before we did. Ended up walking out. Complete disapointment

The Hot Brown! A traditional recipe of a Louisville classic. Plenty of turkey, bacon, 2 slices of tomato. All set on a toast and smothered with Mornay sauce. DELICIOUS? Well done,

I ate here for the first time because of Hot Brown week. Their traditional Hot Brown was really good, and they had other versions on the menu. My server, Ashley, was great! She checked on me every few minutes, even before my food hit the table. Everything seemed reasonably priced, and what I saw on the tables around me look really good.

We found this restaurant when I Googled "hot browns in Louisville" and it came up as a result AND it was open for dinner (the original restaurant our tour guide chose was closed for dinner). I've never had a hot brown and was impressed that their menu had four hot brown options. Our group of nine arrived around 6 p.m. and we had to wait maybe 15 minutes for a table. We had some folks with higher mobility needs but we had no issues with parking, entering the restaurant, using the restroom, and dining.
The food and service at The Goose BLEW us away. E'laysiah was our waitress and she managed our group like a pro and provided extra patience in addition to kindness and a happy disposition. My colleague and I wanted to try both fried green tomatoes and the seafood hot brown so we opted to split both and our 1/2 portions were absolutely HUGE! We had several folks take desserts to go and reported back that they were delicious. I've told so many people about this restaurant now and want to dine here again with family the next time I come to town.
Thank you so much for the mind-blowing food and also the kindness and patience of your staff. We're so glad that Google brought us to you!
Vegetarian options: They even have a vegetarian hot brown option. No other restaurant had this option when we were searching for hot browns!
Parking: Plenty of parking spots as well as accessible spaces near the entrance
