We had lunch and breakfast here during our stay at Mammoth Cave. The food was great and the tea was amazing!

The service was friendly and attentive. The food however was disappointing. I ordered the fried chicken and five minutes later it was served. Obviously premade and the chicken tasted as such. The chicken was only warm and parts of the crust were soggy. My wife’s smothered chicken was also only warm. This restaurant has a captive customer base as it’s the only place for dinner if you stay at Mammoth Cave. At least this time, a disappointing food experience. Prices are such that it should not be the case.

Clean and friendly restaurant with wonderful staff. The trout was excellent and the biscuits. Biscuits are so much better than dinner rolls. Breakfast buffet was really good and came with coffee and drinks. The fruit was fresh and delicious. We are currently waiting on pie- I’m confident desert will be fantastic too.

We were tired from the day and didn't want to drive 30 minutes back into town for dinner. When we arrived, they had live music that was so loud we couldn't talk over it even out in the lobby area. (I'm talking nightclub level loud.) We were traveling with friends and wanted to be able to visit over dinner. The manager, Emma, saw the looks on our faces and offered to seat us in the closed lunch area away from the music. Food was good, but the service was the highlight of the night. Our server, Liz, was helpful with food recommendations and provided just the right amount of conversation. Trout, steak, pork chops and fried mushrooms were all good, and the biscuits were awesome. Best customer service experience we've had in a really long time. Thanks for a great evening!

If you're looking for some old dried out breakfast food, then this is the place for you. Crusty scrambled eggs, dried out biscuits, and microwaved bacon, you can't go wrong.

Very nice meal. The service was good, attentive and helpful. We had the strawberry salad and the trout. The trout piece was very big, tasty with yummy mashed potatoes. The biscuits were complementary and excellent. The dessert was wonderful, chocolate/walnut pie. Overall we really enjoyed the meal. My only criticism is there are really limited options for people who don’t eat meat or fish. So if you are vegan/vegetarian there are no main entrees for dinner.

I was thrilled when I saw "fried green tomatoes" on the menu. And they were delicious but a lot for one person. I also bought the special for this restaurant which was a ham and turkey hunk on sour dough and cheese sauce on top. I wasn't a fan and I think they should have a better choice for their speciality. It missed something, maybe BBQ sauce? Still it was a very southern experience, very nice staff.

We thought the menu looked good and wanted to try! Was a convenient place to eat. Staff was friendly. Unfortunately my review is in line with many others in that the food was not very satisfying. Under seasoned chicken. Pork chops were small and dry. Would compare to cafeteria food. Dessert was the best part of the meal. It was yummy, but we only got dessert since it was buy two entree get a dessert free. I would not have paid 10 dollars for the dessert if I were to pay for it. Pricing was on point for it being a tourist location, but I think the price was not justified for the quality of the meal overall.

Would not recommend unless you are hungry and just need some food. Way over priced for poor quality food. We will eat out next time.

The service we received was terrible, I had to ask for every refill that we got and the waiter didn't even bring the free bread. The "grilled" pork chops were boiled and lightly seared, also very thin and unseasoned. For $20 I expected a real pork chop. He was also very ready to give the check and didn't even offer appetizers, deserts or have any care for the customers. I had to hand another waiter our dirty appetizer dish for room and they didn't even give plates for the appetizer
There are much better restaurants in the area, I would avoid this restaurant the next time I'm in mammoth cave
