I loved looking at all the decorations inside the restaurant and looking at the pictures of people that completed their famous food challenge. What really caught me off guard was the amazing food they offered. The staff always friendly and give excellent service.

We had a great experience at Porgie’s. It is a great place to take children. We stopped by on a Saturday evening and had friendly service and excellent food. We got the baker’s dozen to sample multiple varieties of specialty dogs. Our favorites were the Reuben, King, and El Jefe. We will definitely come back!

We came in and never been here before, only seen it in passing a few times. We sat at the tables, looked over the menu, then went to the counter and placed our order. After the order was placed. We happened to look over and see a VERY SMALL sign that says their food is cooked using peanut oil. My family is extremely allergic to peanuts. So we asked the lady if we could cancel our orders due to not knowing about the peanut oil. She said sure, but you could clearly tell she was frustrated and bothered by our request. The cook apparently had already started with the orders, so she walked back to the corner of the kitchen and yelled at the cook to not put anything else down. We apologized, and she said, "It's ok," but the moral of this whole story is simply this. All of this could have been avoided if peanut allergy signs were placed on the door to where guests who have this type of allergy could see it or even on the menus it's self in bold font. Not just one single small sign taped to the front counter. But with this allergy so common and deadly, you'd think that would have been the case. Well, not here.

Its a nice place close to water. I paid for me my wife with the sampler for dessert a little over $60. Nothing they have is really note worthy but the hot dogs. I do believe even with inflation these prices reflect store bought mushrooms and mozzarella sticks. Really no flavor to the food. Presentation is spot on. I hope others read this and understand a little better. I was expecting better taste.
