El Mariachi Mexican Grill

Order mixed fajitas and had burnt bits of meat & wasnts seasoned just cooked chicken/steak with peppers & onions. Had to salt food twice to have some favor. Portions less than other Mexican restaurants in town. Salsa is just blended tomatoes with some jalapeno juice. Waiter wasnt nice at all. Bathrooms are outdated. And the entire time I was eatting all I could smell was mothballs. Tried a new place but we will NOT return.

Nice place! We were seated immediately and our drink order taken. Our drinks and chips & salsa arrived in less than 2 minutes! After we ordered, it was probably less than 10mins! The food was delicious, and the wait staff were very conscientious.

Excellent food. Good prices. Great Atmosphere. The waiter was NOT friendly. Obviously not a people person. All the other staff was friendly. We will eat there again next time we're passing through.

Normally not a bad place to eat. Today did a call in order. The food was absolutely uneatable. Looked like someone had racked leftover food into the containers. Tried to call back for over an hour either no answer or phone was busy. Very disappointed with today's visit

Went with a friend yesterday. The fajitas were great.

Server gave me the wrong food and then tried to argue with me saying that was what I ordered. He didn’t want to take my food back. Rude service the whole time

The food was great the service was awful had trouble getting refills and our check. The atmosphere was fine I suppose.

I would eat here again. I was in the area attending a rifle class at Valor Ridge and found myself in need of dinner. A couple of the guys from class recommended this place, and the rest, they say, is history. Very friendly service, great food, and reasonable prices.

I asked for a booth with a charge outlet so I could work on my lunch break, but they would not provide this, nor the wifi… so I could not get any work done as I had planned. Furthermore, the menu online is outdated, so be aware of that, and that lunch specials are weekdays only. Although I ordered directly off the lunch menu (not noticing the small text that said Mon-Fri), I was not informed/corrected that there was no lunch on weekends… so I was charged full dinner price anyway. The staff were not very nice or willing to do anything about it. Food was okay, but I just got a simple pollo loco. I won’t be coming back.

My family and I have been regulars at this restaurant for almost 3 years. The last few times we have been going, we've gotten the absolute worst human being to be our server, and the quality has food has also declined. My biggest gripe is this one particular server. He is the absolute worst to people. I have always gotten evil looks from this guy, and it always seems that my family and I were a huge inconvenience to him. Our most recent visit was Halloween night 2024. We ordered our food (2 taco dinners with cilantro and onions) and a kids taco. I wanted to order a margarita, and he acknowledged that I was still trying to order, but then immediately rolled his eyes and walked away. That was my last straw with this guy, I voiced my opinion about him loud enough for him to hear me. We then got another waiter named Ricardo. Ricardo is absolutely amazing! During the rest off this dining experience, the horrible waiter kept passing by us and shooting myself and my wife dirty looks. Because of him, we are no longer going back to this location. I would avoid this place at all costs for fear of other people experiencing the negativity we received.

My family has been going here multiple times a month for the last 2 years and we will no longer be eating here. On Halloween 2024 we got this waiter, who we've had 2x before, the largest waiter there and don't know his name but he is so rude, has had his mouth close to my husband's glass pretending to spit in with spit noises and then laughing. He is always SO rude, dirty looks, walks away while you're ordering and then messes the order up. He switched our table to Ricardo who is great, but the large round guy with the poor attitude and even worse waiting skills, has been awful enough for us to never return here and also inform family and friends to not go here. Go to the one in Tazewell where the food AND service is 1000x better. Middlesboro is terrible.

I can’t say enough good things about this place. Delicious fresh food and large portions. All staff very attentive and polite. Great salsa. Definitely be back!
