Great food and prices. In the super competitive field of Mexican restaurants in the area LA Esperanza is my favorite and go to. Even when they are super busy the service is always excellent and food is amazing.

We are traveling thru the area and chose this place based upon it having the highest rating…. Well deserved! We enjoyed the carnitas and steak and the chicken taquitos… great salsa and excellent spicy margaritas. They got my vote, and we’ll be back!

This was our first visit because we do not live in this area. They have a 4.5 rating. Everything is excellent. It was a little busy, but the service was still quick and friendly staff. We would come here again when in the area. We give them a 5 star.

Service was good timely food and drinks waiter was good at his job made sure we got refills. However I got so sick from eating at this restaurant I had class the next day so not a fun experience at all. Be careful when you eat here you’re taking a risk.

Been here many times in the past as i drive through middlesboro alot for work. Usually always a good peaceful time at this location compared to the owners other places. Was enjoying my food till I seen one of the waiters rip the shirt of the kid that works there. I watched them for about 10 minutes, he kept picking at the kid even when the kid made it clear he wanted it to stop and when the kid picked back the waiter riped his shirt. I confronted the guy told him that was wrong and he just shrugged it off. Hope the kid is ok. I didn't see him come back out to the front after that. I never liked that waiter. He always acts cocky when he's at one of the restaurants and rumor has it he's into some bad stuff and mistreats his girlfriend that is also a waiter at that place. Hopefully the owner fires him. He seems like bad news imo
We ordered 2 polo de jeffes and one had no rice and the other had no chicken and when we combined the 2 we only had half a plate
It was not bad at all, though it was non traditional in several ways that one might expect, it was full of flavor and ample. I had the Piccadillo, it was completely different from traditional style Piccadillo. It more like a fajita without the sizzling plate, but very good. One of us had the chicken soup, which is fantastic and very flavorful. The sweet tea is in the style of very sweet, go half and half. Give them a try.
One word sums it up: delicious. The food is perfectly seasoned, cooked to perfection, and bursting with flavor. If you’re craving Mexican food, this spot in Middlesboro, KY, is a must-try.
