I wish we had gone sooner! The Garcia family has a way with restaurants and this is no exception. Great atmosphere, presentation, staff, and, of course, food. I had Abuela's Tamales and flan. So good! And the salsa I could drink!

Fantastic food & service!
I bought a barbershop haircut and it cost a quarter and then i came here and got a chicken jockey and it was so good!! The service here is excellent it only took 6-7 minutes to get our drinks from when we entered the door and my friend adrian loved it as well

This was really good! It was my first time in. I got the mahi, black beans and street corn-all tasty. The mahi was cooked to perfection and seasoned just right. I tried a bit of the burrito sauce on my son's plate-which was really yummy, I can see why this was a repeat order for him. It was creamy and delicious. The salsa has a nice depth to it, love it when it's more spice than sweet.
The art is great, it's a good vibe in the old building. I wish there were a couple smaller table options outside, as I prefer to eat outside and it seemed there were mostly or only tables for larger parties. They were very busy and handling it well, our server was great! In the end we were a little confused on the bill for a side charge compared to the menu, but they were super busy and it wasn't worth a fuss, this may be something to keep in mind when ordering though-to clarify number of included sides.
It seemed clean and fairly priced for the portions, with seafood and a couple veggie or cheese options. I'd for sure go again and try something else!

Ignore the fake positive reviews. Don't make my mistake and be fooled!
Horrible food!! The rice was rock hard. I ordered beef fajitas medium rare and they were well done, and even worse the tiny razor thin strips of meat tasted rancid. I went here because my favorite restaurant next door Heirloom was closed. I will never make that mistake again. My favorite Mexican dish is chicken flautas and these were inedible and not even made with flour tortilla hence the name floutas.
Worst of all, when we complained, the owner/manager became extremely hostile and threatening in Spanglish. The owner needs to take an anger management course. Instead of rectifying the situation they blamed the customer for meat that smelled and tasted rancid. Ironically I had a similar experience at Gracias and then I found out the same owner owns both places!!! Which leads me to believe he is serving unsuspecting customers rancid food at all his restaurants.

We went to eat tonight bringing family as we had a previous fabulous meal a couple of weeks ago. We were very disappointed. I got the ribeye same as I did before. I requested medium rare but it was more well done and a bit tough. Husband got the carne asada and was very disappointed. The steak was super tough. Al least our dogs will be happy. Also, we ordered desert, the bunuelo. I was looking so forward to it but the ice cream and sauce had caused them to be a soggy mess. The staff were great and service was good but the food was just not up to par.
Found this place by accident, and what a find!
Maddison M our server was out of this world fantastic! She was able to answer any and all questions and made fantastic food and drink suggestions! She took exceptional care of us during our time in the restaurant!

Just had lunch there today with a group of 8. Food was excellent, service was on point too. We will definitely return. I had shrimp tacos once years ago in Florida and since then I make a point to try them every where I go. Most of the time they fall flat. They didn’t at Don Jockey’s. The flavors are went well together well and the balance was delicious. The street corn, salsa, and chips were great too.

Our waitress named Athena was amazing! She went above and beyond by drawing cute pictures of our kids on their cups, putting our food in the to-go boxes for us and labeling them, and letting our daughter pretend to be a waitress by swiping our card and printing the receipt. The food is always delicious here and we appreciate how thoughtful our waitress was today. 10/10 recommend. 😊
