I had never been to this place before but we went for Thanksgiving today and it was FANTASTIC! We had a reservation for the 12:30 seating, and were seated and in line for the buffet by 12:45. The front staff seemed pretty stressed but they did a great job. I’m looking forward to going back to try their regular menu.

Had lunch with my daughter while visiting for the Christmas festival. We did the Surf & Turk which was delicious. We shared the meal and the side salad. Fast service. Servers polite and helpful. Great atmosphere in renovated building in historic Midway.

Reservations at 7. Seated by 7:15. Cool atmosphere. Read menu ahead of time….took 15 min to get our soft drinks, 35 min to get the worst cocktail, and 1hr 13 min to get bacon wrapped shrimp so overcooked and dry, they resembled a dogs chew toy from the local farm store. Don’t waste your time. Sent it back, manager explains that she had to run to the grocery to get heavy cream. Either way, don’t waste your time or money.

Salad and black bean burger are available for vegetarians/vegans. The fried options might not be vegan due to the oil being used in the pool as other fried non-vegan food, as informed by the nice staff. The restaurant is situated in the ancient shopping center of Midway, old town historical landmark, next to the train. Midway is an amazing small town.

The food and atmosphere were amazing. We ordered the Shorty sandwich and fries, Cuban sandwich and slaw. Both were very flavorful and we had leftovers to take home. The sandwiches were unique as we have never seen these before. The staff were friendly and the service was great! Would highly recommend this restaurant in this small, tucked away town. We were just lucky to find it as we were driving through on our road trip from California.

The menu is very interesting. A wide variety of unexpected twists on standard fare. The food was delicious. The service was very good. The building itself is lackluster. It didn't really instill confidence but give it a try and you'll be pleasantly surprised.

Very nice restaurant, very old, rustic building, food was good and plentiful, service was very good, i had the catfish, which was very good with two sides, highly recommend.

Travelling through and like to try local dining. Food was subpar for the cost. Potato skins were shriveled and very over cooked. Fish sandwhich was comparable to county fair. Kids beef skewers was probably the best item ordered. Fries were good and kids chicken tenders were just average. Mac and cheese was good. Lemonade mimosa was strong with little lemonade flavoring as well as a very small champagne glass so I consider it very pricey for what you get. Sweet tea was good. Chips for queso is extremely salty and queso has a kick but good. Not a place I would return to but was ok for passing through. *Also note: there is a mandatory operational fee added to your bill.*

Food is good, there is a wide variety of beer, wine, cocktails and the service is usually good. Several TVs with basketball, horse racing, and football on. We love the pretzels and cheese appetizer--very fresh and hot with spicy queso or beer cheese.

The staff were wonderful greeting us on arrival. Bringing us to our table. Giving great advice on the menu. I ordered the Cuban (Slow Roasted Pulled Pork Served on a Brioche Bun, w/ Ham, Swiss Cheese, Pickle, BBQ Sauce, and Dijon Mustard Sauce) and it hit the spot. I really injoy it.

This town is lovely - an interesting piece of history. I’m so glad we made this detour for lunch. I had my first “Hot Brown”. This was a good choice on a rainy day during our roadtrip. A bourbon tour is absolutely in our future plans !

We ate here on a recent trip to visit a horse farm. The chicken salad sandwich was very good. My husband had the fish and chips and it was crispy and fresh and full of flavor. The service was excellent and the food was plentiful. We will be back.

We were hopeful for better, but this ended up being a disappointment. The food was very basic — frozen hamburger patties, frozen fries, and potato skins that were dry. Service was lacking; we had to track someone down just to get water, sour cream, and to place our order. It wasn’t busy, yet several employees were standing around chatting or sitting outside. For peak dinner time, that was a red flag. Overall, it’s just basic bar food, and unfortunately, we would not return.
