Wanted a local place and found this gem. Just minutes off 65. Best Western omelet I've ever eaten, fluffy buttery biscuits and real homefries. Staff was attentive, service very quick and locals providing entertaining conversations. Did I mention cheap? 2 omelets fried potatoes, Biscuits and gravy, beverages under $20. You won't be disappointed!

We always looking for small mom and pop style home cooking places when we travel ~~~
We dislike doing this however this place was the worse we have ever eaten not eaten. Everything was out of a box “yes you can tell”. Macaroni was elbow macaroni with tomatoes. Chicken fried steak like a microwaveable chicken fried steak. The drink cups felt slimey and dirty. They had flies all over place “almost walked out “ however wife had to eat something bc she is diabetic. However her slice ham was dried and super salted I told her to stop eating and lets go. I had to give it a one star to give it a review ~~~ I’ve been reading others reviews and just can’t believe it’s the same place and I had to go see all pictures to make sure it was the same place.
Again I dislike doing this however do not see anything good here.

In disrepair. Coffee delivered in an unclean cup. Tables were littered with dirty dishes. Order not taken for quite some time even though I was the only new person there. Staff was very friendly. Food came out quickly after ordering. Steak was good.

First we weren’t greeted upon entering. One “possible” employee was standing holding a baby in the small dining area. At least 3 out of 6 tables weren’t busted yet upon entering. There was food on the floor next to one table. I heard the previously mentioned baby back in the kitchen. The waitress was wearing flip flops serving tables. We went in for lunch and they were only serving the specials written on a dry-erase board, no menus to speak of. The table we sat at had sugar spilled on it and when my wife used a paper towel and hand sanitizer to wipe it off, the ink from the table cloth came off on the paper towel. The local ambulance crew came in and started pouring their own drinks and walked into the kitchen like they worked there, waiting for their to-go order. Sadly this “restaurant” was recommended to us by the local visitor center.

The food here is definitely good but the customer service is lacking slightly. It’s a neat cozy little restaurant with that small town diner feel. Food prices are a little high for the area.

Open sign was turned on. Lady opened the door for us. Sat us and then never offered a menu or anything went and stared off into space and then came back asking what we wanted to drink. We left because we noticed cash only.
The food was okay, but we won't be back. Small & quickly crowded. Bathrooms are outside and need a key to unlock. Cash only. Expensive, $30 for 2 burgers. Went looking for a breakfast place and they stopped serving breakfast at 111 cook and 1 server it looked like. Took a while to even place our order. One couple waited a while then left because their drink order hadn't even been taken yet. Soda machine was down, sodas came out of a can or bottle. Water tasted 'off'

I've got to say, eating at Murray's is real comfortable. Simple furnishings, limited menu (but good) local-styled food, local people at the other tables and good service. It's unbelievable such a place still exists. A jewel!

Have wanted to stop in here in the past but avoided doing so due to exterior appearance. Finally stopped in today and was impressed! Had a delicious breakfast of country ham and biscuits and gravy. Not a very big place but they were pretty busy with locals enjoying a good reasonably priced breakfast. Give it a try!
