Down home type place. Amazing that food can be served with a smile still. Coming from a city we don’t see hospitality even in servers much anymore. It was refreshing. Also, the prices were very reasonable.

Food and service were great! We were visiting the area from out of town and looking for a diner. This was a great option! Only downside, they are a little hard to find as the sign by the road isn't that big. It seems like it's in a hotel or apartment building.

Saturday September 23rd 2023Yesterday my wife and I were headed home from seeing a friend down in Tennessee.To get off the road for a bit we visited the Kentucky Railway Museum across the street then came over to Howie’s to eat.Howie’s is a nice restaurant. The waitress staff were very nice and the food good.Would definitely recommend a visit both for locals and anyone passing through the area.

The waitress couldn't have been more friendly and attentive. I didn't have anything special, just a grilled ham & cheese, with tater tots, but they were delicious. It appeared that a lot of locals go there, which is always a good sign. I would definitely recommend this place to anyone passing through town.

Drove by the place as it looked inside an old motel, but don't let that fool you. Got there just after 1130 ( breakfast ended at 1130) so we got lunch. The chicken strip and fries were hot and good, and they gave you a healthy portion. My husband had a mushroom burger that he enjoyed. Downsides were it wasn't air conditioned ( went July 5th -- it was hot) and unsure if allowed smoking inside as it had a low odor. Good food off the beaten track.

Burger was simple but good and all menu items were very affordable. Customer service is lacking big time. Ladies always seem mad your there and in the verge of being rude either during call in orders or when picking up.

I absolutely loved this place, visited during a busy time during Thomas the train day and it was absolutely lovely to be there. The servers definitely were amazing during it, they got this. Great job ladies!! My friend and I had gotten BLT's and the hot ham and cheese with fries and a house salad. Everything was fresh, delicious and big portions. If I'm ever in the area I'd def. go back. Parking lot was somewhat limited on a busy day but the servers said it's usually not that busy!! I'm also not from around there either, from Michigan, so as an outsider they made me feel really welcomed! My best regards LindseyKid-friendliness: They have diff options for kids. Also on reg. Menu there's options that aren't expensive as well ?

We were travelling through after visiting Lincoln boyhood home and found this place in an old hotel. We stopped and had a burger and fries and really enjoyed the food and the service. Great local place to eat if travelling through New Haven...beautiful little town and area also.

I enjoy coming here regularly. After attending St.Catherine of Alexandria's 10:30 Mass this is the first place I think of when my family mentions getting food somewhere. The service here is amazing, the staff and owners put in many hours to make this place look great. I have never had a bad experience here. The food here is incredible! The menu has a lot of options. Breakfast is the best in New Haven. Along with the delicious breakfast, lunch and dinner is very tasty. It is nothing fancy, but it never disappoints. On top of having delicious food the prices are very affordable. In my opinion, there is nothing on the menu that is overpriced. I recommend giving this place a chance if you are ever in New Haven. I love it.
