Pensive Distilling Company + Kitchen

We met the owner, Scott, during a tasting at Party Source. He was really friendly and mentioned that the distillery also serves food. Since we were looking for a dinner spot, we decided to check it out—and we’re so glad we did! The staff were welcoming, and the food was excellent. My husband took on their burger challenge, which was a lot of fun (and he even won a hat!).

They were also kind enough to get us into their tour and tasting, which ended in their speakeasy—a great surprise and a really cool experience. Scott stopped by later after finishing up at Party Source and chatted with us for a bit. He came across as very down-to-earth.

Super small batch distillery - very smooth bourbon and vodka. The gin has a heavy hit of anise (yum). The hidden speakeasy was THE vibe. Service was amazing, Sofia was the best! She set us up in the perf spot, made us her favorite cocktail, gave us a tour, and just overall was great to hang out with. Def recommend decorating your own cork to add to the wall!

The staff were friendly, knowledgeable, and passionate about their job. The environment was clean and well decorated. Highly recommend.

The food yesterday evening amazing the service was perfect love the cocktails. And the chicken tacos. Staff was on point for being busy and friendly. The cook in the grey shirt was and attentive. Love this place its a must visit and experience

One of Pensive Distilling's employees has made highly disrespectful remarks concerning the shooting death of Charlie Kirk, and on the day of his death. This is something Pensive Distilling should take HIGHLY seriously. I will leave said comment in the replies beneath:

Had a wonderful, fun and very interactive tour with Bernard and Gage. We were the only 2 on the tour so I was able to ask many questions. The speakeasy upstairs was sweet! We did our tastings there and proceeded to buy the high-end Speakeasy bourbon which was yummy.

Hamburger and fries were good.

Great chicken sandwich, and friendly staff. I will be back for sure!

We have been on several bourbon tours and this one was by far the best and most fun! Gage is the absolutely best 10/10 and I would actually do this tour again!!!!

Had a great lunch here last friday. but was told by our very helpful server she could not accept my cash for payment. The was no such notice on the door when we entered no notice at the table no notice on the menu and the server gave us NO notice when we ordered. My cash says this note is legal tender for all debts public and private. Won't be back till you accept my cash. I.E. Strongs, Lanas, Sis's, Gourmet, Webbs, Newport Pizza, Bakers Table.Pepper Pod, Pasquales, Dixie, La Mexicana, The Press,.

Everyone there was super friendly, tour was cool, and drinks/food were real good

This place has such a great atmosphere! Great food and very friendly and attentive service! Will definitely be returning!
