Cool place and good food! The Old Fashioned was overwhelmingly cherry flavored (cherry bitters). If you like a fruitier flavored Old Fashioned, this would be it. If not, then pick something different from their menu.

My wife and I have done the speakeasy tour, ate at the kitchen and gone in just to grab bottles, we absolutely love it here! The food is wonderful! Some of the best burgers and grilled cheese in the area, arguably one of the best bourbon tours I’ve done and the spirits are undeniably delicious!

We attended the speakeasy tour/tasting. The atmosphere in the speakeasy was incredible. The vinyl records playing further enhanced the atmosphere. Gage did an amazing job of explaining the historical significance of the building as well as the current use of the space. The bourbon was so good that I purchased a souvenir to take home and add to my collection. We ate lunch after the tasting. We were more than impressed with the menu items that we ordered. The entire staff that we interacted with were all very kind and helpful. We will definitely visit Pensive again when in the area.

This cute lil business is full of history and some of the best employees I’ve came across in a long time. My friend and I decided to stop here for the bourbon tasting tour which was packed with a lot of good facts and details. Gage knew his info! The bartender greeted us as we walked in and I was blown away how cute and well detailed the bar was! If you want some great bourbon, vodka or mooonshine stop in. This is a place I can’t stop talking about to my friends!

This is a small distillery, but well worth the time to take the tour! Gage was our tour guide, and he was very entertaining and informative! He knows a lot about bourbon, and has a passion for making it.
They have an excellent apple pie moonshine! They also have a small restaurant and bar; the Strike the Gold Burger was delicious with bacon and they have the best onion rings I've ever had!
Lisa was our bartender/server, and made us feel at home and was very easy to talk to.

Gage was a FANTASTIC tour guide that shared just enough history with just enough personality. We all learned a ton. Started as strangers, ended as friends, and the tasting at the end was delish. Love this distillery for what they stand for and how they connect with each other

The speak easy venue was very cool. The spirits and food we had were great. Everyone was very friendly! They switched the TV to our NFL team game and even gave us tons of recommendations to other things to try while we were visiting.

The distillery and speakeasy tour was fantastic. Great tour guide and I loved the vibe of the speakeasy. The burgers we had afterwards were also excellent.

We did a tour and tasting here. I absolutely recommend it. Knowledgeable and very friendly staff. If you are in Newport, it should be a definite stop on your stay.

Went here for the first time today and loved it! Great drinks and friendly staff and awesome vibes. We didn’t get any food but everything we saw looked delicious. My husband is a bourbon connoisseur and said they had some of the best he’s tasted. We will definitely be back any time we are in the area!
