Donuts were what I'd expect from a grocery store, not a bakery. Red velvet cookie was so gross I spat it out. It was like playdoh or something, gluey and fake tasting. Woman behind the counter seemed annoyed I was even there. Only positive was the low price, but I guess you get what you pay for.

Picked up cake today and has a crack in icing .. she said it could be easily fixed with a butter knife

Stay away. I had them make cookies for an event. Looked like a 6 year old decorated them. I ordered 5 dozen- 2.5 dozen in the shape of Kentucky and they looked more like genitalia. I contacted the owner and received no response. Very embarrassed and will never recommend this place!

Adorable shop with delicious pastries. I went around 7:30am (it opens at 3!) and there was a decent selection left. Pastries are on the smaller side--which I prefer. And the prices are very reasonable.

This 3rd generation donut shop and bakery is no frills and simple thrills. If your looking for the classics cooked right you have come to the right place. Open at 3 a.m. this O.G. Donut shop does it right. Since the loss of Bonomini Bakery in Northside, the Cookie Jar Bakery is now the best donut shop in Cincinnati IMHO.
