This is a great neighborhood bar everybody makes you feel welcome. The food is good comfort type food proportions are good prices are reasonable. The coolest thing about this location is the music they bring in some great musicians. It's a small venue which sometimes makes it hard to watch the musicians but you can hear fine from anywhere in the bar. We visit the location frequently.

Oh my! I told myself I wouldn’t eat the whole meal, but that burger was divine. The fries too. We’ve never had a bad meal at Mansion Hill. I wish we had taken pictures, but we were too anxious to start eating.

The food was good, the service was ok and the atmosphere was loud but this is a bar. Let’s face it, you go to see your friends.
Came for brunch (party of 8) and everything exceeded expectations. Food was hot, fresh and came out in a timely manner. Bloody Mary was very solid and service was incredible. Chef came out to ask if everything came out correct, which is a HUGE plus in my book. Lastly, prices are so affordable. This place is doing things right

Great bar for local live music every night (especially the blues), including open mic Tuesdays. Almost all shows are free (generous tips much appreciated).
There's a rich history and great story about the bar and building it's in. Lots of cool photos of musicians plus Marilyn Monroe and other classic era celebrities).
The bar was full of friendly music lovers and bartender Kyle was awesome - made me feel right at home.
They have a patio and you can get food too. It's also a short walk from Newport on the Levee.

We live across the street, so we consider Mansion Hill Tavern our neighbor. We were incredibly disappointed to receive a rebuff from the staff when we went in this morning to ask for help with a question. While we weren’t customers, we have been in the past and are just not interested in patronizing at all from this point on based on the surprising rude attitude towards us, when we were simply being neighborly.
