New Riff is doing it right. To find a good bourbon it takes a good mash bill . To make a great bourbon flavor must accompany story. It is a great albeit short history but it does have some history with it . The staff was great along with our tour guide Dan. You are where I would love to be in a couple years. Let me start off by saying I am not a big bourbon person. Every good bar does need to have a stock of good liquor. I met Dan right as I entered the door. I explained my situation and he drafted a plan for me. He had me go to the 3rd floor and try a sampling. Before leaving, I looked over downstairs and it was a great setup. Outside their flagship Bourbon whiskey and Rye, they have Gin too. I was there for the Kentucky Bourbon Whiskey, so I stuck to that.
I went to the third floor to what I would classify as the Executive Boardroom. The bar in front was immaculate and the barkeep was extremely helpful. Even though I was outside my element, I went with a testing of 3 of their bourbons. My 3 choices were their Flagship Bourbon Whiskey, Straight Rye Whiskey and the 8 Year Old Straight Bourbon Whiskey. Out of the 3, to my uneducated taste buds was the 8 Year Old Bourbon. That was the smoothest that I had. I will now have a bottle of that on the top shelf of my home bar.
Check out the store as there is a lot of awesome stuff to take home. I got a magnet (and some Bourbon of course), but I wanted so much more . . . like the ice cream 🍦 Make sure to take something home with you to share with family and friends as they have miniature bottles for gifting. I should have gotten a hat, but I had gotten one earlier and didn’t want to explain to the wife why I got another hat 🤣
Highly recommend this for any fan of Bourbon as a family member also loved the Bourbon here. I got her a mini-bottle and she immediately opened it in a tumbler with ice.

We LOVED doing a full tour here at New Riff & Eric was an awesome tour guide. We've done the entire KBT and New Riff's tour/campus is a top 5 for us. Love that you get to sample during the tour, makes it unique from the others where you have a guided tasting at the end.

New Riff is awesome. From the top down everyone there is a class act and genuinely kind heart and wholesome. The quality of the hospitality, bar none. The whiskey itself...stands out above so many in the game. The malted rye, the BIB, and the special releases immediately crushable. So good and I can't say enough.

Great tour of the distillery. Love the fact that they use ear buds to help hear everything that is explained during the tour. Also, enjoyed doing the tastings during the tour is a great bonus.

Zero, having a bourbon tasting tonight with Jim Beam,, Bulleit, Four roses, Buffalo trace, Eagle rare, ElijahCraig, Woodford Reserve. Consensus, New Riff has to be the worst tasting thing I've ever put in my mouth... do not swallow!!!
