We went to Pompilio’s to celebrate a birthday, and unfortunately the experience was very disappointing. The birthday guest ordered the lasagna. When it arrived, it was noticeably flat, and the server even commented that it might not be good and said they would replace it if needed. When we asked for another piece, we were then told they had no more lasagna because it had all been ruined.
This left the birthday guest without an entrée. My daughter’s meal was also not good and she barely ate any of it, so I ended up sharing my own entrée just so everyone had something to eat.
To their credit, the restaurant did comp part of the meals and provided free entree and desserts, which we appreciated. However, it doesn’t make up for the fact that a birthday dinner turned into a stressful and disappointing experience. We expected much better, especially for a special occasion.

Looked forward to our 45 annivary celebrated there on 2/15. Waitress was not very attentive, Garlic bread was over cooked. Cheese slice on top of my wifes manicotti was barely melting. My Cannelloni with bolognese sause barely had any sauce. The straw that broke the camels back was the .50 cent charge when we saw our bill later for the extra bolognese sauce he eventually asked for (which was four times what his original dish has on it). Waitress never stopped to see how our meal was, whether we needed drinks and the two times she did stop was only because I flagged her down. I messaged Pompilios details of our experience and never even got a reply. Not sure if this is now an example of the level of food and service to be expected or not but we were very disappointed. But the service prior to our meal in the bar was spot on.

Overall a great experience. The room was a little special nook which my daughter and I enjoyed. Food was fantastic and we'll go again soon. Likely ask for the 2 person nook again! I'd hope they'd fix the hole in the wall by then as the menus kept falling through the 🕳. Likely had a little maintenance issue but no biggie.

I want to state first thing that the manager comped our meals and I really appreciate her doing that. I put in and traveling star for that but the experience was disappointing still.
We were told this was one of the local favorites by our hotel. We entered the building from the bar side and stood there confused on where to go at first. Must be a theme, eventually a waitress pointed us through a small hallway to the host station. The hostess was more interested in finishing her conversation with her friends then greeting us.
We got seated and waited for quite a while before our waitress showed up. She was kind but not very attentive. We got our orders in on her first table visit since we had so long to sit and look at the menu. Water took a while to get to us. Had to ask for new bread plates as well. The ones that made it to us were dirty still. Just another side note, do not look around to closely as every light fixture and air duct is extremely dirty.
When the food got served we dug in only to find out how awful Italian food is cold. My wifes ravioli was rubber. It had to have been sitting under the heat lamps for quite a while to get that way. My short rib something or another was stone cold. So cold that it might as well have come right out of a refrigerator. I will say, the flavor of the bite I tried was excellent. If it was hit, I can only imagine how good it would have been.
The short of it, we walked out not paying but starving. The manager explained the menu was just updated. Hopefully that was the problem and this establishment will work it out quickly. Again, I appreciate her listening and taking care of our bill.

I actually found the restaurant through a TikTok review. I ordered the cheese tortellini with meat sauce and my son ordered the homemade meat./ Cheese ravioli with Alfredo sauce, and we were both very pleased with our meals. As it took a few minutes to be greeted at the table, during our meal we were visited several times by different employees checking on our experience. It was very nice inside.

So good! It's my favorite Italian in all of Kentucky and Ohio.
I came here with my girlfriend and she ordered the San Luci Chicken, and at the recommendation of our server Wendy, I ordered the 3 cheese tortellini with breaded chicken.
It. Was. Delicious!
Before I realized it I had already finished my plate. For desert we got the tiramisu (also at Wendy’s suggestion) and that went just as fast. The food is amazing, the interior is beautiful, and our service was top notch! Thanks to Wendy for making our date night special.

Always love this place.
Down home Italian comfort food.
I got the Rigatoni À la Therese and a salad. They were both awesome. They give you a ridiculously large portion.
There is a great bar here too. It’s kind of tight, but comfortable.
My favorite Italian restaurant in Cincinnati (or Newport).

Horrible. Zero stars All - I mean ALL the food was cold. The sauce on my husbands Veal Parm looked like it had been sitting on top for a hour. It has that nasty gnarly skim coat look. I had shrimp that were small, tough and cold with overdone pasta. Our friend had Eggplant and it was also cold in the center and bland. What a disappointment. Plenty of decent Italian places to go - this was horrible
