Nice bar inside Newport on the Levee. They have about 20 of their beers on tap and a couple frozen cocktails plus a wall of wine and spirits to choose from.I went on Whiskey & Wine Wednesday and they have other great weekly specials.
A great place to get a beer when you’re in the area! I love that the levee area is a Dora. In the past, we’ve taken a beer to go, out into the courtyard area. Today, we hung around the bar chatting. Delicious beer, excellent location.

They have a page of mocktail drinks — which sounds great if you’re pregnant — but there’s an ingredient in 80% the drinks that isn’t recommended for pregnant women. Stupid decision. (The employees did warn me so it’s not an issue of me accidentally having it, they said something so I didn’t order it.) Why would you include an ingredient in most of your mocktails — when pregnant women are already very limited in what they can order — that makes it so pregnant women can’t have it?
My Mr and I had some time to kill and wanted to grab a drink before the show (at the MegaCorp). We walked by Wooden Cask and with no hesitation, went in. So..it's been YEARS since we've been to the Levee and they definitely revamped this area. More stores, restaurants and libations! They too partake in the Banks atmosphere. Walk around the area with your drinks. This place is very small but has so much to offer. I've been to their original brewery (loved it), I was impressed that they've up their game. Now their serve their craft beers on tap, wine, mock tails, seltzers, bourbon, and food. Their food menu is very small. Flatbreads, wings and sandwiches. We didn't have time to try but I know we will be back. Overall a great experience. The bartenders were cool and pricing was definitely reasonable.

My lady and I were looking for a good spot for a couple after dinner/pre-concert libations when we found this placd on the Levee. We'd been to the original Wooden Cask location nearby and enjoyed it, so we thought we'd give this spot a try. Definitely worth it for drinks and/or some light food. The place itself is by no means huge but does have nice seating both at the bar and just outside the main bar area. Their drink selection is excellent, centered around Wooden Cask's beers, but also featuring wine, hard seltzers, craft cocktails, mocktails, and more. They offer a small menu of food options like wings, flatbread pizzas, and sandwiches too. Unfortunately, we only had time for one drink, so I got the Wooden Cask Papillon farmhouse ale and my lady got a brut sparkling wine. Our bartender was very friendly and attentive. She took ample time to engage in conversation with everyone at the bar to make them all feel welcomed. This is a great little drink spot. Sure, the Levee is a DORA spot, so you can walk around the place with your drink, but we were enjoying the atmosphere inside here too. I could see another visit in the future for sure.

We had a fabulous time last night. It's always one of my favorite bars to hit when down on the Levy. Just stopped in for a few drinks, and our bartender was great.

What a great place! The ladies behind the bar were so accommodating and friendly! They helped us decide on what to drink and even gave us water for our dogs! Stop in and have a slushie and a flight while you're at the Levee!
