European Delights Bakery

I’ve been a regular customer since 2013, and I just realized I never told them how great they are. They are guaranteed to have the best cakes, croissant, cookies, and pastries in Kentucky, and likely nation wide. If you’re visiting or new to Lexington, going to European Delights will be one of the best memories you’ll make.

More of a patisserie than a bakery. Decent vibes for studying but not as much of a cozy/warm kind of atmosphere. Worth going back thought to try some of the other cakes.

Usually come here to pick up some various desserts. They do have whole cakes, but I always go for variety. I am from Europe, so this is the closest thing to what my grandmother made. Delicious every time. Nothing disappoints. You can eat in and grab some coffee or cappuccino. Relaxing and quiet atmosphere. If you are needing some desserts for guests, this is the place to come, but I would go earlier than later. Chocoholic, fruit tarts, carrot cake, you name it, they usually have it.

Not sure what kind of coffee they brew, but it always gives me a heartburn after having a few sips. Would be great if they could use a different type of coffee brand.

We picked up a cappuccino cake today for my Birthday and it was AMAZING!! Everything we've tried here is so good and the staff is wonderful!

Lost a customer today as I drove here from Georgetown and the doors were locked. People inside mopping and the business closed before 5 pm. I waited around until 5 to see if anyone would come to the door. I guess they were done making money for the day.

Absolutely beautiful, delicious and such a heartwarming place!
We tried bear claw, almond croissant, chocolate chewie, puffs , cookies. Everything was SO DELICIOUS. the best desserts in town for sure!

Top notch bakery. We were told that this is the best bakery in Lexington and it did not disappoint. All the pastries we tried were delicious. As far as reviews that complain that staff don’t smile or aren’t friendly, this is a European bakery staffed by Eastern Europeans. If you know anything about Eastern European culture, then you may be aware that they don’t smile a ton. It’s just a cultural thing, so don’t take it personally. We thought the service here was great and the staff was attentive to serve us as soon as we walked up to the counter. Thanks for doing an amazing job, European Delights. Keep up the good work. We’ll look forward to visiting Lexington again so we can eat more of your pastries!
