Very cool decor with unique tables, chairs and fish tanks. Be careful getting in and out of the booths. I hit my knee every time. Not fun when wearing shorts or anytime.

I ordered 4 enchiladas and my wife got the taco salad. She asked for no onions or peppers but most of the salad was onions and peppers. She barely touched it. Mine was actually 3 enchiladas, chicken, beef and cheese. The 4th was just beans covered with a shell. I enjoyed it all but the cheese.

I mentioned the taco salad snafu during checkout and although the cashier said she took off the taco salad, it was the exact same price given the change she gave me back. 🤨

The food was incredibly delicious. The atmosphere was great, we really enjoyed the decor. The fish tanks were super cool. Our server was very sweet. Highly recommend. We will definitely be back!

It's sad but this was my favorite place in town for Mexican food but when me and my friend went in they had roaches crawling across our table. We Immediately left.

Small place on the inside but the food was really good! We had a large group and the service and accommodations were exceptional. Very light, airy chips and salsa that was not spicy.

So disappointed! I seriously ate there every single week! Not anymore! I placed an order to go a few weeks ago, one of my meals was completely MISSING! I went back in. They gave me the other order, but then I noticed they over charged me! They couldn’t figure out what to do, so she handed me a free cheese dip on my next visit. That’s fine. Today I placed a to go order and when I open the bag of chips, I noticed they were extremely cold and hard, which is not normal- they usually have the best chips and salsa. I looked in the bag and noticed there was a dead cockroach. I’m livid! That is DISGUSTING! Again, I love this place- I didn’t want to cause a scene. I walked in and quietly showed the girl the dead bug inside the cold hard bag of chips. She shows another girl and the other girl handed me another bag of chips that are cold and hard that I would assume came out of the same batch of chips with dead bugs. No thank you! I asked for fresh chips and the girl told me they don’t do that! I am shocked !!!! Never again! 🤮🤮🤮

Shrimp, rice and cheese sauce! $11.99. All you can eat chips and salsa! Queso is great too!

If you're interested in a restaurant version of a lesser taco bell, then this is the place to go. I will not be going back.

El Tucan has excellence food and a really cool atmosphere. Their pricing is very reasonable as well. Definitely one of the top Mexican restaurants in Owensboro if not the best. I'd highly recommend them if you're looking for authentic Mexican food.
