So disappointed! I seriously ate there every single week! Not anymore! I placed an order to go a few weeks ago, one of my meals was completely MISSING! I went back in. They gave me the other order, but then I noticed they over charged me! They couldn’t figure out what to do, so she handed me a free cheese dip on my next visit. That’s fine. Today I placed a to go order and when I open the bag of chips, I noticed they were extremely cold and hard, which is not normal- they usually have the best chips and salsa. I looked in the bag and noticed there was a dead cockroach. I’m livid! That is DISGUSTING! Again, I love this place- I didn’t want to cause a scene. I walked in and quietly showed the girl the dead bug inside the cold hard bag of chips. She shows another girl and the other girl handed me another bag of chips that are cold and hard that I would assume came out of the same batch of chips with dead bugs. No thank you! I asked for fresh chips and the girl told me they don’t do that! I am shocked !!!! Never again! 🤮🤮🤮

Shrimp, rice and cheese sauce! $11.99. All you can eat chips and salsa! Queso is great too!

If you're interested in a restaurant version of a lesser taco bell, then this is the place to go. I will not be going back.

El Tucan has excellence food and a really cool atmosphere. Their pricing is very reasonable as well. Definitely one of the top Mexican restaurants in Owensboro if not the best. I'd highly recommend them if you're looking for authentic Mexican food.

I recommend the peach margaritas

We live in the neighborhood but have never checked this place out. So glad that we finally decided to. Their super thin chips just scream freshly made, I really enjoyed the street tacos and our two and a half year old LOVED the fish tank. Seriously, we might have to start going here just so he can see the fish again. Service was also great and it was reasonably priced.

Music was so loud over the phone there was problems on both ends with hearing each other. After repeating myself 5 times, I was still given the wrong order.

I Didn't notice the booth seat cover was cracked with loose duct tape repair until getting up after meal. My jeans were soaked from soggy cushion as I went to pay. I told the checkout person about it. He just smiled and acted like he didn't care. We will never go back to El Tucan and I will tell everyoneI know to stay away. In my opinion, it must be a joke they play on elderly customers. There were a dozen other booths available, and they chose to seat us in their prank location.

Got my order completely wrong. Figured I’d try it out. I’ll never go back. Better off going to Taco Bell

We went for dinner, all vegetarians. More then happy with quality and quantity of food served. We got in at about 8.30pm 9pm their closing hrs. Still they was no hurry to push the order.
We were served by a smiling lady who also helped to choose pure veg food.

Vegetarian options: Our waiter helped us lot for choosing Vegetarian dishes. All of them turn out tasty. Every dish was with large serving. They also give unlimited Salsa & Chips.
Salsa was one of the best ever in my about 5-6 maxican restaurants I visited in last 55 days of US stay.

Parking: Restaurant located in Halifax plaza, a business park with one story level only. Big open parki g infront of all the outlets l. At 8.30pm parking was almost full empty.

Wheelchair accessibility: Parking and restaurant both have wheelchair accesibility.

The most attractive interior of any Mexican restaurant that I have been to. Service was excellent and the food delicious. Portions were very generous. Prices reasonable
