Great coffee, food, and service! Come here almost every week!
A cute, locally owned shop and dine experience. Many interesting military items and owner's lessons memorabilia in the resturants museum. Antiques and local historical items. Very neat place with cracker barrel style vibes. Service was fast and friendly. Food was delicious!

Deconstructed Biscuit is not only tasty but good value. Eggs were perfect. Bacon crispy yet juicy. Biscuit and gravy is seasoned superbly.
Older building full of interesting photos.

Windy Hollow Biscuit House is a true local gem of a restaurant. I started coming here for the food. But keep coming back for the atmosphere and people. The breakfast buffet is wonderful with light, fluffy scrambled eggs, homemade donuts, the best crispy bacon I’ve ever had, perfectly made biscuits that are crunchy on the outside and so fluffy on the inside, gravy, sausage, fried apples, chicken tenders, (I’m getting hungry just writing this review) and more things are added as it gets toward lunch time. The buffet turns into brunch. There is definitely something for everyone. But the thing about this restaurant that sets it apart from any other restaurant is the people that run it and work here. It is truly a welcoming, fun, family friendly atmosphere.
When you walk in, the history on the walls takes you back through the years of Hollywood and Owensboro, KY. Something interesting to see everywhere you look. They even have an extensive gift shop that caters to all things wholesome, old fashion, and especially all things “Kentucky.”
The amazing food and really cool ambience of the restaurant are wonderful. I could stop there. But then, you wouldn’t know about the heart and soul of this unique and special place. Rooster, the lady who runs it, has a true “service to the community” spirit. Every Thanksgiving they do family style dinners for something like $1.50 per person (because that’s how much it cost for a dinner back when the Windy Hollow restaurant first opened) and there is a line of people out the door so long that it could wrap around the building. It’s worth the wait. Because when you get inside, the friendliness, joy, and excitement of everyone there is infectious. Rooster often states that she is following in her father’s footsteps and I have no doubt that she is making all her ancestors so proud. She is the type of earth Angel that opens the restaurant on a cold and bitter snow day, tells all the staff to stay safe at home so they don’t have to risk a hazardous drive, and then she personally waits on the few crazy customers (I was one) who made their way through the snow and ice just to come to this awesome restaurant. (Yes, the food is THAT good.) Rooster could have said, “We’re closed.” She was trying to close… but for me and my husband, and for another family who came in a little later, she served us. She had food made fresh for us and served us family style. She has the heart of service and it is her love to nourish people. I can not say enough about how amazing this restaurant is. And it’s all about the people who created it, run it, work there, and eat there. Once you experience it for yourself, you’ll keep coming back… first, for the awesome food. And then, because it feels like family.

Unfortunately this place has disappointed too many times for me. Don't get trapped into overspending on food that can easily be made at home. Their service is subpar, as they seem to have to communication between one another. If you are looking for something similar but for a more affordable and better tasting food, go try Dee's Dinner.
Don't waste your time,u might as well go to a gas station and eat ..we ordered from the menu and they went to the buffet and got are food from there and it was terrible 🙃 really salty....I don't ever give a bad review but this place is terrible
