We sat at the bar. We were waited on quickly. Josh the bartender was the best. He made a long week disappear with his humor and personality. Thanks Josh! Brie appetizer was great also!

I have to say this is the worst place I’ve ever eating I ordered a glass of wine asked for a second glass. Got a different one took 35 minutes to get the glass of wine two hours to get food ruined my my dear sweet friends birthday, as per manager spoke to Josh. He was terrible would not help anyone in this restaurant. I say get rid of Josh and maybe you might could have a restaurant

We brought our friend out for dinner on a Saturday, it was very disappointing. We set for two hours before the food arrived. Ask for a manager, and he did not seem concerned and said that that was a normal ticket time two hours, his name was Josh. He was not respectful at all. They were out of everything we could not get more wine. It is terrible terrible terrible experience. I would never recommend this restaurant.

Very small drink glasses and over priced pizza

To start off- the hostess was very friendly and prompt. Our server was also very friendly and provided great service. The best thing I had during my meal was the glass of wine. My partner and I ordered the chicken pizza as starter- then I had the gorgonzola chicken and him the lasagna.

To start with the pizza- the crust was chewy and flavorless, it tasted like a pre-made store bought crust. The sauce was very sweet, although that is my personal preference that I do not like a sweet tomato sauce. The cheese tasted like good quality mozzarella and fontina- it had nice flavor. The chicken itself was bland and tough. The pancetta brought some flavor to the pizza but few crumbles were not enough to save it. This was the most disappointing part of our meal considering the restaurants name- we were very much looking forward to a homemade brick oven pizza.

The lasagna was alright. In taste I would compare it to Marie Callender's brand lasagna. It had that very sweet tomato sauce but again the cheese was nice. The pasta itself was fine but overcooked. It came with lightly dressed mixed greens which was a very nice touch visually and flavor wise.

The gorgonzola chicken pasta left a lot to be desired. The chicken was the same that came on the pizza, that is, the few small cubed chunks I could even find. The sauce was very creamy which was enjoyable but the whole dish tasted one note. The mushrooms added a good texture to break up the monotony of the dish and fresh basil on top added the brightness it desperately needed. I would say I enjoyed the first few bites that had the few mushrooms, crumbled gorgonzola, and basil but once you exhaust those resources it's just bland cream sauce and chewy chicken pasta.

I wouldn't by any means say it was a bad meal, just not worth the price.

Best meal I have had in a very long time. My husband and I walked in at about 8pm on a Tuesday evening and were seated right away. The indoor seating was empty! We had the place to ourselves, but it did sound like the patio area was busy. The vibes inside were perfect, playing into the historic charm of the building/space. Very cozy and warm. We shared the smoked salmon dip for an appetizer, I had the Greek chicken and my husband ordered the crab cakes. We finished off by sharing the soufflé cheesecake. I cannot express how perfect every bite was. Granted I was road weary and my only meal of the day had been Waffle House, but I digress…. The salmon dip was light and refreshing, my Greek chicken was so tender I could cut it with my fork, and the flavor combinations of the dish were perfection. My husband said the crab cakes were so good he could’ve eaten 6 of them! The cheesecake…. My mother is Italian so I know cheesecake, and that was TO DIE FOR. Our server and experience with the staff was pleasant, prompt, and gave excellent attention without being overbearing. If I could bring this experience home with me to South Dakota, I would eat there every weekend.

The jambalaya that I ordered might be the worst I've ever eaten. Never seen a jambalaya sooo watery and tasteless to thr point of uneatable. The thin crusted pizza is so pale looks like its sick.
They put us in the yard since we don't have reservations the table is wobbly and many flies, spiders visited us. While the other tables have table clothes, spinning straps to repel the flies, ours don't.
Because we didn't order expensive alcohol, the waitress showed us we were not the worthy customers. 🤮

Huge disappointment, pizza crust like flatbread, and tough too boot. We ordered a magahrita pizza and it came without any basil. The waiter basically shrugged abd told us hexwas just confirmed they had run out of basil as he delivered it to our table. After telling him this was in no way satisfactory, he did allow us to order a replacement pizza. We also ordered the Floretine pizza. The toppings were ok, but crysr was terrible. I'm a big guy, I don't think I ever have left so much pizza uneaten.

The building was great, and the drink decent, but neither made up for the food or overall experience.

I’ve been eating here my entire life and this past Saturday was a disappointment. Outside DJ was so loud that my friends had to scream just to have a conversation. The DJ would turn down the music and the turn it up again. He was also singing along to the music (in the microphone) Pizza was just okay, quality used to be much better

I don’t know how they get away with charging so much for frozen food. Go here if you want to feel ripped off.

I used to really love the food at Max's but this last time I was not impressed. Ordered chicken gorgonzola and it looked like something out of a packet with tiny chicken pieces and mediocre flavor and texture. My boyfriend ordered a burger and would have been happier with one from home. They looked short staffed but service was poor too with our drinks empty more than once.

Thought this was a nicer place my party of three arrived very overdressed .should of wore jeans and a Tshirt .The dining room tables are small and very close together. I'm a very petite person and I couldn't move my chair without hitting the person seated behind me .also every time a server came by the would almost knock my tiny cluch purse off my chair. The wine selection is very generic and the food is disappointing everyone ordered something different and everything was bad. Brick oven pizza was hardly cooked didn't taste like it was a brick oven more like an ez bake oven .Chicken Marsala was like country brown gravy .thin dry over cooked steak .and definitely frozen farmed raised fish. High prices and Highly disappointing.
