We absolutely loved our meal at this lovely restaurant while visiting Kentucky Lake area. The service was impeccable and the food was delicious. I’m planning another trip to Paducah, just to eat there again! I highly recommend it! And save room for dessert!

The fall menu was absolutely amazing. So many fall spices and squash. Great options for vegetarian and carnivore. All the meat was cooked well. Great portion sizes left room for dessert.

This was an epic culinary experience for our area. We had our children and grandchildren join us on our visit (it was our first), so we had the opportunity to sample a wide variety of dishes. All I can say is WOW! The atmosphere feels richly casual, but with a level of detail that is pure professionalism. And yes, the price is a little higher, but not unreasonable for the quality and service. I will certainly be planning to visit again. Make sure to book a reservation in advance. Paducah has a rare gem in the Freight House.

Wheelchair accessibility: They do have a ramp, and the dining room would be fine for a wheelchair. I would let them know in advance so they could plan for an appropriate table.

We stopped overnight in sunny Paducah, KY on our travels from Georgia to Iowa. Tired, but not beat, we found this fabulous eatery and were blessed 30 min later with an open table on the screened in porch. Drinks were refreshing… appetizers tasty, and main courses beautifully plated. We had burrata on grilled toast, fennel sausage on polenta, and pork loin with a sweet base/glaze. Nick, our server, was gracious and informative. We hope to enjoy more of this place on a future journey!

Our first time coming here. Actually, we didn’t know it was a restaurant. But, it is. & one hell of one. We came for our Anniversary. Figured something fancy. But it's not too fancy. The place left me speechless. The food? Perfect & delicious. The service? Friendly & helpful. The food was so great. I opted to buy a round for the kitchen($50). The wife had the steak. I had the catfish. Both were to die for. Add a draft(even craft beer) or whiskey from the bar. *chefs kiss*. Idk if the menu we saw was what they have every day. If so, it's kinda small. But again, only time is there. For first-time experience. Wife & I loved it.

The food was excellent, original and worthy of a five-star rating. However, the service was lacking. We were here for our 40th wedding anniversary, which we noted on our reservation. We requested a quiet table by the window on the porch. What we got was the 2nd table from the corner, a two top directly next to another couple and their young child (who were seated in the corner). As you can see from the attached pic, there were plenty of open tables available where we could have been given some space and privacy. And, in spite of noting it was our 40th wedding anniversary on our reservation, it was never acknowledged by anyone on staff. If the evening had been more private and special, I would have given five stars.

Vegetarian options: Most of the vegetarian options are starters, but there are also two vegetarian entrees.

Dietary restrictions: Lots of pork and shellfish on the menu (both of which we do not eat). Only other entree options were vegetarian or $62 steak.
