Eating at freight house is an experience in flavors. Brussels Salad had the perfect balance of sweet and tangy. I could have made a meal from just the potatoes latkes. It was crunchy sweet potato topped with pork belly, pear butter and curry yogurt. I have never eaten grits before tonight but the shrimp and grits is pure comfort food. Then the spices from the pork shank and gravy exploded on my tongue with delight. I can truthful say it was one of, it not the best meal I've ever eaten. Thank you Chef Sara for a night I won't forget.
Food and service is great. Open area can be a little noisy but can still talk.

Family style food cooked to perfect. The meatloaf was the best I've ever eaten by a mile. I could not recommend this place any higher, it's worth every penny.

This was one of the best meals I've had in a restaurant in recent memory. They were extremely accommodating of my husband's dietary needs, and our server Kyle was very knowledgeable about all of the menu. I had the duck fried rice and it was Heaven on a plate. We are old boomers and once it filled up, it was a little hard to hear, but i was so busy stuffing my piehole it didn't matter. Will be back whenever we come to Paducah.

From Florida and camping in LBTL, we ventured to Paducah for really one reason. I’m a big fan of Chef Sara Bradley and Top Chef, etc - so wanted to dive into her fun and great menu. Made 5pm reservations on a Thursday - and a month ago, as suggested. Seated right on time and our server Holly was just like our meal - perfect. We had cocktails - an old fashioned and a snake in the grass, the stuffed mushrooms, a grilled Caesar salad, the smashed carrots, and for entrées, the griddled meatloaf and New York strip. KY bourbon pecan pie and coffee for dessert. Everything was wonderful but hashbrown casserole with the steak was crazy good. But the cherry on top was meeting and chatting with Sara. This was the day after my Bday meal and an evening I’ll be talking about for a lonnnnng time.
My wife and I chose to do the chefs tasting menu on October 16th. The atmosphere and wait staff was impeccable. The food was thoughtful and interesting. I would have rated a 5 on the food , however, our new york strip had a piece of gristle that went through the one slice of meat. I have to assume that the same strip steak was used to portion both our plates since it ran on both plates. The taste and cook of the steak was perfect. I would have brought it to my waitresses attention however being a chefs tasting I would have thought this would have been caught by the staff before plating. My wife and I drove 14 hours ( Delaware ) and will be back in November. Do not let my experience deter you in any way, like I said the food, wait staff and atmosphere was spectacular.

Service was excellent and so was the food presentation. The appetizers were delicious. My $64 steak came out rare when I ordered medium. They cooked it a little longer and it was medium rare. My husband's steak was also cooked wrong. The bone sauce was amazing but was minimal and virtually the only flavor this aged steak had. The table was small, the sun was in my husband's eyes, and we were put next to a large party. My husband didn't even want to stay through the end of the meal. It wasn't romantic and for $250, was not worth it. Plus I have been sick for hours after eating here.

We were blown away by how good the food was. We had the stuffed mushrooms, the salad with the butternut squash and the porkshoulder with sweet greens, blackeyed peas and cornbread. Everything was delicious. Believe me when I say..I have never tasted anything like it and the cornbread...was sooo good. Definitely a must go to. Also...shout out to our server Houser. He did an amazing job and was very attentive and informative.

My daughter found this restaurant while searching for places to eat in Paducah....we were in town for only one night and this is the restaurant she chose. It was awesome...the food the service, drinks and the atmosphere were all top notch. Wish we lived closer so we could go more often. Sara was there to make sure everything was wonderful....if you ever get the chance to go....check out the art on the walls....very interesting.
Had a great meal here last night for my boyfriend’s birthday. We had the stuffed mushrooms and sticky ribs for appetizers- both were delicious- the sticky ribs were amazing! I had the pork shoulder for dinner which really showed me how good southern food can be- the greens and black eyed peas complemented it beautifully and my boyfriend had the shrimp and grits which he lived. Finished it off with the carrot cake. Everything was perfect- the flavors were amazing. We will definitely be back and it was an amazing birthday meal!
