Eating at freight house is an experience in flavors. Brussels Salad had the perfect balance of sweet and tangy. I could have made a meal from just the potatoes latkes. It was crunchy sweet potato topped with pork belly, pear butter and curry yogurt. I have never eaten grits before tonight but the shrimp and grits is pure comfort food. This was one of the best meals I've had in a restaurant in recent memory. They were extremely accommodating of my husband's dietary needs, and our server Kyle was very knowledgeable about all of the menu. I had the duck fried rice and it was Heaven on a plate. We are old boomers and once it filled up, it was a little hard to hear, but i was so busy stuffing my piehole it didn't matter. Will be back whenever we come to Paducah.
