We were driving by and just happened to see their sign and decided to stop and give them a try, it was about 1:30 pm on a Monday. We had to wait a couple minutes for someone to come from the back and then were seated. They have a large dining area with tables and booths, and a small bar area to the right of dining. We were served chips and salsa right away, and had to wait for a few minutes for the employee to come back and take our order. My husband and I both ordered the Kentucky burrito. It took only a few more minutes to get our food. We were amazed how large the burritos were! They are jam packed with rice, french fries and chicken or steak, all topped with cheese and pico and shrimp with a roasted jalapeno! We were pleased that the chicken and steak were in smaller pieces than most Mexican restaurants and tasted really good! We were both completely full only half through the burrito. Give them a try if you're hungry, like starving hungry lol.

We enjoy dining at El Jacalito in North Middletown. The food is delicious, the service friendly and efficient, and the atmosphere relaxed. We dine in and carry out, and both are great options.

This place is fantastic. We eat Mexican ALOT. As we travel a lot. We stopped here with not much hope since no one was there but we was quickly impressed. I have never had beans as good as they were here. 10/10 recommend.
