Would definitely recommend. Very cool space and very unique — different vibe from what you get at larger distilleries, much more personal. Lindsey gave a fantastic tour and you can definitely tell their team puts a lot of pride into their craft. Left with the Old Bourbon Co. Single Barrel.
This is not a review of the physical distillery but their Wheated Bourbon. I kept seeing 1-2 of these bottles sitting, collecting dust at my local store for 6-8 months. I found out it was made close to home and I like wheated boubon so I thought, lets give it a try. DONT! Dont buy it! Man, this is the worst bottle in my collection by a large margin. Imagine this, it tastes like someone wrung out a pressure treated piece of lumber and then bottled it. Its that bad. Young, thin, astringent, absolutely flavorless. I wish I could send them this bottle and ask, "Is it supposed to taste like this?"
This is up there for one of the best experiences in my life! I have never been on a bourbon tour before. We were lucky and got to spend it with the brew master, and it was just my friend and I. He detailed out each step in one of the coolest historical buildings I've been in. We got unlimited questions, personal answers and just amazing expert level responses. I ended up spending way too much money and ordering one of a kind bottles to ship back to WI with me. I can't wait to tell all my friends about this, you HAVE to try the ONLY BOURBON made in BOURBON COUNTY!
Tyler and Austin were absolutely amazing! We did the distiller for a day tour and it was by far the best experience we have ever had. Everything felt personal and the bourbon was fantastic. Highly recommend!
Stopped in on a Saturday morning. Small family owned distillery in an unassuming old building. The spirits were delicious! The owners father was helping out for the day and really made it a
great experience! So glad we stopped by and can't wait to sip on the only bourbon produced in Bourbon County!
Our group signed up for a distillery tour and was pleasantly surprised in getting not only a tour, but a lot of historical information about the distillery and the building and the nature of how this amazing distillery was born. Our host was incredibly knowledgeable as well as engaging and had answers to all of our questions. Although it would be easy to miss such a small distillery but if you are in or near Paris Kentucky I would recommend stopping in and scheduling a tour.
It was a very simple facility. Our tour guide was very knowledgeable and the history of the distillery was very interesting. The taste testing was enjoyable and informative.
We had an awesome time here. 9 person bachelor party of bourbon lovers. Great history and character. Austin was a great tour guide. He took his time and answered our questions. If you want an intimate tour and incredible history, this is for you. Tasting was fun and our bachelor had a great time.
Had Austin for a tour and he was amazing! Loved seeing how everything was done and getting a bit of a taste.
Amazing distillery, super knowledgeable I learned so much not to mention the great whiskey, WOW! There white whiskey and Pre-Prohibition bourbon are amazing!

WHAT A GREAT TOUR! The elevator was fun and the tour guide kept us informed and entertained. The best part was obviously the tasting afterwards in their super cool tasting room on site. Highly recommend bringing your mom or friend group here. Make it a moment.

Second visit to Hartfield and Co. First visit was about a year ago; hubby and I had a super fun tour with Rachel. She was GREAT!! Convinced us to try all kinds of fun stuff and we fell in love with the Pre-Prohibition Bourbon. On yesterday’s visit, we dropped by just to pick up another bottle. Ended up hanging out for a bit because Lindsay was funny, friendly, and informative, swapping recipes and pairing suggestions with my mom and I. On her recommendation, we visited Augusta Distillery today…well worth the stop. Think it says a lot about Hartfield that they would recommend a visit to another unique distillery.
From the beginning, Lyndsay was very welcoming. Tyler gave us the day as a distiller tour. Thus was by far the most intimate experience of our bourbon trail tour. We were able to experience being a significant part of the process of the fi ish product sold right I. The store front. Austin and Tyler let us dump some grains, sample nearly everything and we're just such an amazing personable group of gents. The owner/ CEO Jeremy came in and was so personable and was so humble that he even recommended other distilleries and breweries that were pretty local. I will definitely be returning with a larger group of enthusiasts. Thank you all for the most phenomenal experience we could have possibly imagined. Keep up the great work and we can't wait to see you all again soon.
Lindsay gave an informative, engaging tour that left us with a new appreciation of small batch, craft bourbon. As a bonus, the drive to Paris is beautiful.
