La Esperanza is a casual, authentic Mexican restaurant serving incredible tacos, chips, and guacamole. It's a hidden gem with a grocery store-like atmosphere. The tamales are a highlight, with some calling them the best in town. The carne asada is a 10/10, and refrieds are a standout. Despite limited English, the food is amazing, with many considering it the best authentic Mexican in Kentucky. Note that it's cash-only, but the free chips and guac make it well worth the trip.
