My friend and I had randomly googled this restaurant as we were from out of state and this restaurant did not disappoint. The manager welcomed us at our table explaining the menu which had something for everyone - not just Mexican - but steaks, pasta, fish, etc. The food was awesome and our waiter was attentive. The restaurant had fun decor and was very clean. I would highly recommend this restaurant and would definitely return again!

I used to eat here and really did enjoy it. Today we came in and all of our food just looked disgusting. My partner and SIL ate 2 bites and packed it up to at least pretend like it looked decent and that they would eat it later (they won’t be). My daughter and I couldn’t even take a bite. When the server came to the table to ask why I was honest and said it looked unappealing, she just handed me the check. Did not even offer to take anything off. So disappointing and a waste of $65. Overall horrible experience, horrible staff and food.

We came on a Saturday afternoon to celebrate my nephew's birthday. We did have a large party, but we usually have the same crowd no matter what restaurant we choose. First, only one appetizer was ordered but they brought one, and then another showed up. They still charged and let us pay despite the fact we told more than one person we didn't order it. They brought out the side plates, beans and rice and set them on a table, then when the entree came, they grabbed the sides off the other table. Needless to say, they were cold. My stepdad did not get his food until we were all basically finished and they didn't apologize or even comp him his meal. I get it, it's hard to get help at server's wages. But if a business wants to keep it's customers, it needs to be doing better by its staff and clientele. We won't be back.

We've visited Riviera Maya since it opened. The food is always good and service is prompt and courteous. HOWEVER, they went above and beyond today....we left an expensive cell phone on our table and the waitress ran out to the parking lot to catch us to return ! I'm so thankful and impressed !
We got take out. The place was just opening for lunch and they must have been short handed cause. We ordered two fajitas and a chimichanga which turned out to be more like a burrito. Disappointing. I also ordered the guacamole Mexicanos—not what I expected. The avocado was in chunks and not mashed leaving the liquid to just sit around it. When the food was all brought out, they asked me if I wanted any extra chips and I said yes. The guy never quite got back to the kitchen to get them for me. The manager finally came out and asked me what I wanted and then got them for me.
