My husband and I had a fabulous meal at Arata Sushi in Prospect last night.
The Refresher Roll was an absolute game-changer — fresh, bright, and totally unique.
The service was excellent, and the owners were incredibly warm and welcoming. We can’t wait to go back

I’m gluten free and this was the best experience getting sushi I’ve had in the last 7 years since becoming gluten free. One of the owners has celiac disease and they went above and beyond with making the process easy and are so kind. They can make almost every sushi item gluten free and several appetizers and a few desserts as well. It was not crowded when I went and they even FRIED my roll. It was unbelievable. Could not recommend Arata enough, especially if you’re gluten free!

Love this sushi. Feel like it is a good value. The customer service last night was terrific. Love this small business and owners on site a lot of the time.
The food is typically good, but service is terrible. We walked out after sitting at our table for 30 minutes without service. There were 4 other tables there and only one server. Went to Crestwood instead where service and sushi was much better!

I started out asking for water with no ice and was brought a glass with warm water. I ordered miso soup, white wine and a couple rolls. 10 minutes later the rolls came out and the waitress asked if she could get me some more water. I said no, but what about my miss soup and wine. She said "oh yes they are right over here." 5 minutes later she came out of the kitchen with my wine and appetizer. No apology. The food was spectacular, but the service sucked. There was only 9 other people in the restaurant at the time.
