“First of all, we are not even sweets eaters. But, after our recent trip to Italy for the first time, we have been longing for authentic gelato. Stopped in tonight to get some to go, honestly was trying to keep my hopes reasonable. Bought mint choc chip, salted caramel and orange creamsicle. Tried two and oh my!!! “Harrods Creek Tavern is one of those gems that just feels perfect. It has that welcoming vibe where everyone seems to know everyone, almost like stepping into an episode of Cheers. The atmosphere and staff is laid-back and friendly, and they’ve even got slots inside if you’re feeling lucky.

The food is fantastic. My wife ordered the potato salad and a grilled chicken sandwich; both were excellent, especially the potato salad. I went with the fried bologna sandwich, and it was absolutely awesome. Great portions, great flavor, and exactly what you want from a spot like this.

Whether you drive in or pull your boat right up to their dock, Harrods Creek Tavern is worth the trip. It’s the kind of place you’ll want to come back to again and again.”

“If you are ever in the Middletown area this is the place to go! Staff is very friendly and store is always clean. My favorite is the Dragonfruit smoothie bowl, which is very filling and the ginger greens juice. I definitely would recommend and will be back very soon!”
