“Chill Gene from the Kentucky State Capitol at Frankfort recommended this place to me - he specifically recommended the fish sandwich. I am very well traveled and this is the best fish sandwich I have had. Nice local place with classic Southern hospitality. I love Kentucky!!!!“
“Mexican food is our family's favorite and Mi Terra in Prospect has become our go to. We normally get carry out and have yet to have an issue with missing or wrong items. Service is not lacking even when taking the food to go. We order chicken fajitas for two and the portions will not disappoint.“
“We loved this place so much we went twice in the same week. Had such a great experience with the food and drinks that we had to go back. I have to say, the best burger that I have ever had!! I did not take a picture either time of the burger because, go find out for yourselves.Dietary restrictions: They do have amazing gluten-free bunsParking: Recommend to Uber, etc, or park and walk. But well worth it!!!“
“This place was so unassuming but delivered big in Culinary Excitement. It was unique and delicious. Really enjoyed the intimacy of the place and the care and effort into each item they brought the the table was evident. Highly recommend it and can't wait to dine there again.“
“This place was fantastic!! The service and hospitality were top notch. The selections of wine and bourbon were great! It was hard to leave without spending a small fortune. You can have a drink and try some options before purchasing. Very reasonably priced offerings, to very expensive offerings. Something for everyone!“
“Great specials. Was able to try bourbons I would have never thought to try. People were friendly, staff was knowledgeable. Drinks were awesome.Parking: Arrived just after 8PM and there was plenty of street parking, but when I left there were no spots available.“
“For the most part the overall experience was nice. I enjoyed a night of crafting with friends, and while yes you can probably do it at home for cheaper you’re paying for an experience so I was comfortable paying the prices. However, that being said, the first staff member (woman with long green hair) we had made our first half of the evening not that enjoyable. She was quite rude and seemed annoyed by anything we asked. We tried to ask for her recommendation on which craft or even what colors were popular for different paintings/embroidery crafts or even simply what colors were available and were met with a “just chose from the rainbow”. 3/5 of us chose the embroidery and we each received different items in our craft buckets, and one didn’t receive any of her string. And then we never saw her again. The second staff member (short dark hair) made the world of difference. Was kind, patient and even allowed us to finish after our time was up. They helped get the missing items we didn’t receive in our craft bucket and checked in periodically for anything needed. Would love to go back and get the full experience with them instead.“
“listen to me - Planet of the Tapes is the greatest place in the known universe and it deserves your attention. it is the roadhouse from twin peaks come to life. they are building something truly special in Louisville and you should take one night out of your week to go to a trivia, comedy, or band show, or just to see a movie with friends. they even have some great non-alcoholic options and i don't think they get enough credit for their menu.“
“We had dinner at the taphouse Saturday night. Their food is delicious! We had the giant pretzel, blue cheese burger and the crack salad. I wanted to lick my plate. I had the Quaff on Hoosier Red beer on tap and my husband had the Nepo Baby and Foggy Geezer, both IPA's. We both loved them! But, what really made our night was Missy. She was so ever attentive and was very friendly. We loved chatting with her. We'll definitely be back when we're in the area. 5 Stars definitely!“
“I sat down at the Chic’n & Mi bar today to grab a Togo lunch after kayaking bluegrass creek. The food is great! I ordered the carrots and the mushroom egg rolls with chili sauce, YUM! ? the bartender was very nice & food came out fast.“
“Harry's has a view of the Ohio River, depending on where you are seating. The service was excellent. We ended up ordering bar snacks only but my onion rings were what you would expect. It was a quiet Sunday night in February but I suspect this place gets crazy busy in the summer!“
“We enjoyed the lunch chicken combo & chicken vindaloo with garlic naan. The food was excellent, the presentation was vibrantly colorful, the waitress was very kind in explaining the menu & the the robot waiter bringing our food out was a so fun.“
“What a wonderful bar to visit while we were visiting. They have a ridiculous number of bourbons to try at very reasonable prices. The other cocktails were also reasonably priced. I loved all the messages of inclusivity in the bar. Why don't we have bars like this in South Florida?“
“Great bar. Hadn't been in years. Stopped in for karaoke on a whim. Loved the laid back attitude of the singers and other patrons. Burger and fries was top notch. Staff was friendly and we didn't feel like outsiders at all. Will be back for sure.“
“Really cool atmosphere, great cocktails. Bar tenders are very helpful and knowledgeable. Stated long enough for my husband and I to each have 3 drinks that were all different. They were all great in their own ways. Definitely a “Must Visit” place in Louisville.“
“We absolutely LOVE this restaurant! It is, by far, one of the (new) secret treasures in Butchertown. We adore the owner and staff, as we knew most of them from the previous establishment, Decca, and some from other favorite spots in Louisville. The entire menu is thoughtful and creative. The gluten free options are plentiful, as I have CD. Since their menu changes, some of the things I highly recommend this February are:Cocktails:Death Becomes HerLook AliveSalad:Buttermilk greens with garlic struselSmall plates:Marbled potatoesMarinated olivesEntrees:The mackerel (tonight's special)ANY steak on the menu (when it's offered)The chicken with Dijon jus (so good)!Honestly, the entire place has been perfectly curated. It's hands down one of the finest places in Louisville all-around.“
“Jessica & Harrison were perfect company this afternoon. This place is all about Cheese, Cheers, and Charcuterie’s!!!! If you are looking for a light atmosphere, great conversation, delicious cheeses & meats. This is your place!!! Ohhh I forgot to mention they have a well stocked selection of spirits, as well as a quality selection house cocktails.“
“I love their rotating Cider selection, and I tend to get food from the pizza place next door or a snack from the cat cafe nearby and bring it over! Plenty of seating, the bartenders are really nice, and they have trivia on Wednesday! Dog and child friendly too, and they have some board games to borrow and play. Would definitely recommend going by and checking it out ☺️“
“I've been there several times. Including takeout. It has excellent food with an excellent wait staff. This is a family owned business and it shows. We love those environments. The food was Italian not too garlicky. A good strong tomato flavor but with good seasoning, so as not to be overwhelming, we are considering this for my wife's birthday. It's that good of a choice.“
“We had the best service with Kate! She gave us tips on what to order and ahead of time was dead on. We started with a cocktail and had a glass of wine with dinner. We split the spicy chicken empanadas, delicious, however, we did not detect the spice. We split the green chili Caesar. Honestly, the best Caesar in town. I do t see how they get it so cold and crisp, it's amazing! We then each had a ceviche. The baby shrimp, which were much bigger than anticipated, such wonderful flavor! My daughter had the crab, the server suggested mixing it right away to get the sauce mixed in. Very good! It did need more liquid. We simply poured the extra shrimp sauce in the crab, it was superb after that. The tomato on the shrimp just gives it more moisture and such a good flavor! We can't wait to go back!“
“Quirky & cool bar. Hidden like a speakeasy with little signage, a green door, and specialty cocktails, but not pretentious like many speakeasies. The bartenders conversed with patrons and gave recommendations. While I didn't get to experience it, there's a back courtyard area.Try the acid cat spirit guide. It's a weird but cool experience“
“Just off Bourbon row in downtown Louisville, KY but more personality. The owner gave us a personal touch and shared his recipe secrets. A local for some 35 years he can answer any question and point you in the right direction. Ask about live music and comedy shows on the weekend. Open late“
“This place was great very chill and lowkey.... webt on a Sunday at 10pm it wasn't busy.... had a chance to play all the pinball machine games (hella fun)... I didn't eat here so I don't know how the food taste... had a overall good time...“
“A speakeasy dive bar with some of the best beers in the world. Sergio is a great host and tons of beer knowledge that he loves to share with others. It's a definite "must go" if you appreciate good beer. If you're the Bud Light kind of person, this is not your place. If you want to try a beers from around the world, this is your place.“
“What's not to like? Lots of specials throughout the week (Sunday discounted wine, Monday all day happy hour) plus have events like tastings and music. Lots of fun stuff to try, my only quibble is every time I've tried the empanada the dough has been dry but it is a wine bar“
“Fun local diner. Delicious food, great service and fun atmosphere. We came for lunch and hung out with the "regulars"! You can tell this is a popular lunch spot and easy to see why! The parking will all be in the timing as it is a little small for such a popular spot. You order at the bar and it is a cash only venue. No worries as they have an ATM machine on site.“
“As Schnitzelburg residents, we love the history of our neighborhood and we were excited to take our kids to Hauck's Corner. It's eclectic. It has garage doors, street signs, stained glass lamps, bead-board ceilings, exposed brick, little nooks with corner tables, upholstered chairs, retro bar stools, light up beer signs, and a fun fabulous patio that almost gives off Lynn's Paradise Cafe vibes but offers a lot more. The patio has cornhole, a playground with slides and swings, chalkboards, mist to help beat the heat. It's huge. It's colorful and has a unique energy unlike anywhere else I've been in Louisville. There's a food truck outback and the menu is extensive. The service was friendly and efficient. I ordered a basket of crinkle fries, described as being served with a malt vinegar aioli and roasted garlic aioli. Also, pork belly tacos with slow roasted crispy pork belly, avocado crema, Hauck's sauce, pickled red onion, queso fresco, and corn tortillas. I ordered macaroni and cheese for my side. I did not get roasted garlic aioli, but tried another when I inquired about it. The truffle aioli was phenomenal. The macaroni and cheese was outstanding and the pork belly was crispy. I tend to find it flabby and the texture unappealing, but these were delicious. I ordered a glass of Prosecco. It was refreshing, cold, but maybe a bit less bubbly than I'm use to. I'm hyped about this place and having it in our neighborhood makes it a potential spot to be in our regular rotation. I can't imagine it not coming to mind now that we're having cooler patio nights with the changing seasons. This is perfect spot to get together with friends, for celebrations, or even playdates. When it comes to being both kid and adult friendly, Hauck's Corner is a one-of-a-kind experience.“
“The High Horse was my favorite bar for almost 3 months in the summer of 2022. I come from Germany and have made many good friends. For example James - a member of the owners - and the girls behind the counter.Particularly noteworthy is the bingo evening on Thursday - terrible prizes but super cool! I miss this bar.“
“A bar that made me instantly nostalgic for my old haunts from back in my 30's.I had a super good time on the back patio area, complete with a stage for shows, and they had a food truck( which was also excellent )Going back soon. Will take photos.“
“Visiting Louisville for my brother's birthday and thought we'd give Oskars a try as we saw it featured on Youtube. I was also curious due to its Scandinavian roots. The smoked pork belly sandwich was the highlight. Sweet, smoky, and fatty; what a combo! Beet salad was also delicious as well as the sausage. I also enjoyed the crab @ shrimp spread on rye. The server was very kind and hospitable. Now, the not so good. Despite all the wonderful flavors, at $3-$4 a slider, I cannot justify the cost, especially as I left there hungry. At a lower price, I can see how these sliders could be a great choice on the weekend while throwing down a few cold ones with family or friends. However, with the current price point, I'm going to have to settle for a few McD"s cheeseburgers instead. Thanks.“
“I really enjoyed this cocktail lounge right in the heart of the Highlands on Bardstown Road. Drinks were fairly priced, well-crafted and the crowd was relaxed and pleasant. I like that they use non-mainstream brands for their drinks. Good atmosphere, lively & fun crowd, will definitely come back.“
“Went to meet a friend, and found out they do salsa dancing and Karaoke. The atmosphere was great, and the staff were very attentive. The only negative I could find was in the lack of items. You could have either a Nathan's hotdog, or you could have it with chili. Prices for food and drinks is very reasonable. Definitely a spot to check out.Kid-friendliness: Do keep in mind that this is primarily a bar, so you won't see any kids around.“
“My partner and I came here after a meeting downtown and wanted a quiet, chill place to talk. This place was absolutely perfect! It had an amazing feel to it, vintage but not old. The fun and punny drink names were perfectly juxtaposed against how good and classy they tasted and were made. Everyone that was here seemed interesting and that made the ambiance that much better. Don’t like the outside fool you, do yourself a favor and stop in, pick a drink based on whatever song pun makes you groan the loudest, and get ready to watch the bartender make one of the best drinks you’ll have in downtown Louisville!“
“Great dive bar. The staff were super nice and the Bloody Mary was simple and delicious. This place is no frills and chill. The pool tables have seen better days and a few of the cues could stand to be replaced but if you just want to play a game of slop while you kick back a great drink at a reasonable price, it does the job just fine. The bar side was a little loud due to the music volume but the side with the pool tables and games was very reasonable.“
“We went here for a bingo event and had an absolute blast! I wont lie, when we first walked in the vibe just seemed off. We weren't greeted by anyone and had no clue where to sit or how to order drinks or food. We finally asked one of the staff members and got it all figured out. The food was absolutely delicious and the staff was very friendly! The bingo event was so much fun and we won a bunch of really cool prizes! We will definitely be returning!“
“Popped into this establishment on a whim. Heard a song I liked and seemed like great ambiance. It was a rainy midweek evening and ended up staying many hours. The bartender Michael made excellent Old Fashioned. We enjoyed it so much and told they were having an event on Friday and invited us to come back. So we did. Now on a Friday it was far more lively even though it was another rainy night, and the great cocktails continued. They had a really great selection of bourbons as well which was a nice surprise. They also have a patio bar in the front of the building and had one last drink while waiting for our Uber.“
“Such a cool experience. They have done such a great job with this immersive tour. The educational side was executed in a way anyone can understand. Every detail of this place was carefully thought out and maintained meticulously. I want to go back again just to walk through this place one more time. Would highly recommend!“
“I cannot say enough great things about this business. The co-owners Gary and Mona really bring in some great music and also provide great service and cocktails while enjoying the music. I most recently went on a Saturday night, and even though it was very busy, service was exceptional! So was the dance floor!“
“Great place to hang out and drink in Louisville. They are open late. Good music, can get crowded on the weekend. The open patio is great. We didn't eat there, I don't know if they offer food because this is definitely a place for drinking and not eating.“
“We had a group of 9, so I called and reserved a table. I’m glad we did, because the restaurant was fairly busy even on a Thursday. Our server was amazing and so attentive. She made sure we always had full drinks, our order was perfectly accurate, and she was so nice as well. According to the receipt, her name is Carolina. The food was amazing (as always!). We also loved the live music. This is one of my absolute favorite places to eat when we are in Louisville. Thank you for another great dinner!“
“A true dive bar, people and staff are always friendly, very laid back atmosphere.Cannot speak to the food, never eaten here. They have bands playing often, sometimes for free, sometimes with a cover, but always a fun time.If you're a dude, make sure you create your chocolate frosty at home before you visit“
“Stopped on a Saturday night. They have a great beer selection. I opted for Atrium Kolsh. He got a great burbon from the wide selection. It was a great night to sit on the back deck under the heaters. Spacious seating inside and outside. The staff is friendly and helpful, even on this busy night.“
“This was a great tour! While more relaxed than other distillery tours the tight-knit family and team make the experience well worth it. On this tour you get to learn about not just their bourbon but other spirits as well as all about prohibition and how it influenced the company. There were several tastings and in the end I was able to actually theive my own bottle straight out of the barrel. Overall, a fantastic experience with great people. Highly reccomended!“
“I'm going to admit that I did not even know that this place existed until we stumbled upon it after a night out to eat. We wanted to grab another drink somewhere so we just randomly walked in a direction and this place looked interesting so we wanted to try it out! I love the atmosphere of dive bars and they tend to have nicer people there so I was excited to try it!When you walk in, there is a wall of screens on the left all filled with people playing various video games. We went up to the bar, and the bartender was welcoming and friendly and got us our drinks right away. There wasn't a ton of places to sit in the main bar, but I also didn't venture anywhere else in the bar to see if there was additional seating anywhere. But either way, we hopped on a screen to play some video games so we were perfectly content without a table. We had so much fun here! And after reading some other reviews, I realize that there was a whole other floor that we didn't even know about! I would've loved to play some other games, so I will definitely make it a point to get up there next time.“
“A local watering hole. A staple. Bambi is a legend and you can't say you've been to the Highlands unless you've been to Bambi for a drink or burger or better yet the "Bambi Walk". Always good service and a fun crowd! Do yourself a favor and make a trip, and liven up any afternoon or evening!“
“They were really cool and nice people working there and it made me feel like I could come back anytime I wanted and enjoy every moment that I would come back, I would highly recommend coming here because I felt like with my style and my personality I felt like I finally found a bar that I belonged to and the best part was there was amazing decor and such amazing people working I would definitely recommend coming and their band that was playing that night was really good“
“The tacos have my whole heart!!! No seriously, after trying their Thanksgiving taco I have been raving about it to my husband. It got to the point where he told me to either stop talking about it or take him to get one. So we went and got one. Another taco of theirs I really like is the chipotle chicken one. I am a little ashamed to admit, but I've been here many times recently and I've gotten the Thanksgiving taco three of those times , there is just some thing about the zest in their cranberry sauce that really pulls it together. All that to say- I'm excited to come back and try even more of the taco combinations! This is a great place to stop in NuLu for a drink and snack, or you can make a meal out of the menu items. Around the holidays the bar turns into "miracle on market" and becomes a Christmas lovers dream. They usually post who is DJ'ing on their socials. The staff has always been kind and welcoming, food and drinks come out relatively quick even when the place is packed! Overall: check them out even if it's not the holidays, the fun tacos will hook your attention!“
“This is the best bar in Louisville. They are all about bringing people together and fostering community. The music is kept to a level where you can hear others talk — unique feature on the bar scene. Ping pong tournament every Thursday at 7pm - don’t miss it! Also, Mattie is an excellent and attentive bartender. You are in good hands with Mattie!!“
“We are in town for hockey this weekend and needed a place to grab an appetizer or two for lunch. Found Craft House Pizza on my maps app and headed over. We ordered the baked meatballs and bacon cheese fries. Oh so good! The marinara sauce was fabulous and the meatballs moist and seasoned well! The bacon cheese fries were delicious with their melted mozzarella and ranch for dipping. Our waitress super nice and helpful. Everything was so good, we went back for dinner. Dinner was a bacon cheeseburger pizza and we added their spicy pickles to it and asked for marinara as the base in stead of pizza sauce. NO REGRETS! It was the best pizza we've had in a long while! Ordered an old fashioned and their local beer that was similar to a Blue Moon. Both were great. Evening hours were busy but not packed. Great music, bar type atmosphere. Another great waitress that was super fun and friendly and helpful. Highly recommend eating here if you're in town! Next time we are here, we WILL come back! Forgot to take pictures, just trust everything looked as good as it tasted!“
“One of, if not the best bourbon bar in the country. It's a museum that you can drink with some of the best bartenders in the business. The food menu is spot on. The cocktails are all superb and the knowledge of the staff tops this place off.You can go to this incredible venue to just stare at the collection... or spend a bit and actually try it.I cant even remember all the drinks I've had here... but I've never had a bad experience. This is a must go to spot if you're in the Louisville area... or a bourbon aficionado.“
