I think 4 is perfect for this place… it seems to be family owned and the man with glasses who is the waiter was incredibly kind and helpful… it was clean and comfortable. The sushi is good, especially for Louisville… again a solid 4… prices were very reasonable and good sake choices. Seems like most people were getting takeout and eating inside it was easy to get a seat on a Friday night.

I dined at this restaurant tonight with my wife. The sushi was fantastic (sunset roll which had a nice taste of lemon & kiss of fire roll which had some sweet spice). We also had the house salads with ginger dressing which were made fresh. Our meal was $30 without beverages which is hard to beat. Service was top notch from this family owned establishment. We will return!

Fresh, delicious variety of sushi. I like the 007, sushi master, and most of the others I've tried. Sushi master also offers top notch cocktails among other beverages and dishes.

It was so delicious and the server was so kind. The best sushi I‘ve ever had in Louisville. The seafood was fresh, and the rice of sushi was also moderate. The atmosphere of this restaurant is like Japan. So so good!Perfect sushi! I love this place

This is the default local place. It is lacking compared to places in NY that have red bean ice cream but in person I would say it is 5 stars; however, when getting takeout it is more a 2 or 3 because little things are constantly missed such as not putting eel sauce on rolls, putting inadequate amounts of tofu and seaweed in miso soup, tough squid, etc; now I've only experienced things going wrong for takeout not in person, but still it is enough to make me rather not order at all; and since I rarely have reason to physically eat out, it's unlikely I'll order again.

Cant say enough good things! The sushi is so yummy, employees are so kind, and it is such a cute place. The beef Bulgogi is my favorite.Attaching sushi photos!

This place was not what I expected for the area. There was a child in the back that screamed for 25 mins straight (I'm assuming she was the owner's child). Sushi was great (we got the sushi master and ,super volcano), but the shrimp fried rice was undercooked baby salad shrimp and mushy fried rice. We told them it was awful, and they didn't seem to care. 2 other tables sat down as we were trying to leave so we waited an extra 15 mins or so for our check.

Tasty and creative rolls, fresh seafood, exceptional customer service. Family owned and operated. The owners went above and beyond to make sure our dining experience was outstanding. Lives up to its name as the Sushi Master!

Not at all what we expected based on location and reviews. There was a child screaming in the back for 25 mins straight (maybe the owner's daughter)? We ordered 2 sushi rolls, a salad, and shrimp fried rice. The salad never came out. The sushi (sushi master and super volcano) were both great. The shrimp fried rice was tiny salad shrimp under cooked and mushy rice. We said the rice was bad, but no apology, nothing, so I assumed they didn't care. 2 other tables came in as we were finishing, so we waited about 15 mins to pay for our food, $11 of which wasn't eaten

Swung by here for lunch and had a most excellent meal. I ordered the miso soup, house salad and 007 roll. The salad had a good ginger dressing and the soup was very balanced. The roll was delicious and I'll be back to try more.Service was good and the prices were very reasonable.
