This is for a visit on 1/3/26 at around 6:30 PM.......Although we were seated quickly, we had zero service. Once seated, no one bothered to greet us and take our orders. After waiting for almost 10 minutes we left. In 40 years of marriage we have only walked out of restaurants maybe 5 times. Twice at this location. :(

The chicken was almost all breading, over cooked, and greasy. I used to love your food, but the quality has gone downhill recently. My order was late, but not too bad, however, there was nowhere to stand and wait that the staff didn’t walk back and forth in the store and make me move out of their way - seemed they were just walking around, could have used a different path, or at least say, “excuse me.” Was not a good experience. Sadly let down. I hope Cracker Barrel isn’t losing its food quality, this experience makes me question that!

I hadn't been to CB in about three years and today reminded me why I don't go very often. At one point, CB was the biggest treat to go to. Nowadays it is a pathetic shell of its former self. We were seated fairly quickly and order was taken within minutes and then the wait began. For some reason the server said that only 7 orders at a time would go in. There were nine of us, but okay. One side of table waited 36 minutes to get food and my side of table waited 47 minutes for food. I got Mommas Pancake breakfast because the pancakes are the only food item that CB can serve that is relatively hot, (I used to get meatloaf but due to it being consistently cold and undercooked I stopped getting it) but when I touched them they were cold and rubbery. The butter was frozen so there was no melted butter happening. My eggs and sausage were lukewarm at best. My son got fried chicken tenders that were piddly in size and a side of steak fries and there might have been eight total fries and maybe a spoon of Mac and cheese in a bowl. This wasn't a kids meal, this was the adult dinner meal. My daughter got the kids Mac and cheese and said it was watery and did not have much of a cheese flavor. I didn't bother asking the rest of the table how their food was because due to slowness of getting food out to us at uneven time, the one side was done eating essentially as my side was starting to eat. I feel the most upset for my father in law who had suggested the idea of eating here and paid for the meal and no one was truly happy about their food. He spent over a 100 bucks for cold lousy food. No one expressed anything positive about their food. Needless to say I won't suggest CB to others and this will be my last time in one.

Used to be a great place to go out to eat but something has happened and it's just not the same, plus prices have gotten outrageous, service was non-existent. Will be along time if ever we go back.

We got takeout from this location. The food was very cold, and tasteless. Long wait time. Meatloaf was raw in the middle. Do not plan on returning in the future again.

5 stars overall. There was a mistake with one order but overall it was great. The food was really good for cracker barrel. I didn't taste the chemical nonstick spray on the pancakes like other CB. The casserole was great and the bacon was cooked perfectly. My hubby enjoyed the chicken dinner. It was tender and flavorful. It was supposed to be beef but they sent chicken instead. But he just went with it and wasn't disappointed. The server was very polite and says she'd get it switched immediately but he chose not to send it back. She was great throughout the whole service. All other employees were great as well during the visit.

I have always enjoyed the location in Richmond, KY. However, my wife, the kids and myself went and ordered the camp fire chicken and I had the steak and egg breakfast. Her chicken was not seasoned at all and barely done. My sirloin 10 oz steak that I ordered MEDIUM came to the table and it was most definitely RARE and barely cooked at all. Not sure what's going on. But, this is the first time in my adult life that I have ever asked for a place to cancel my order and take it off my receipt. Will not return for awhile. Service was very accommodating, though, still tipped!
