“I brought 2 ladies with me yesterday afternoon to this Golden Corral in Richmond, Ky. The food was in order. The buffet area was clean and neatly organized. We came down to Richmond from Lexington. I am the 2 ladies ate decently. I know I ate real good after church. The server named Stephanie was good to us. This Golden Corral is just out the way. This might out rate the Golden Corral in Lexington if this keeps up.”

“I'd like to start this review off by being g totally transparent here. This isn't the biggest place, neither is it the quickest place. However, what it is is something by itself, completely making it a truly unique experience to be had by all.

John, the owner, is an interesting cat with his approach as the proprietor, cook, bartender, prep cook, and short order cook. There is only one thing he makes, and that's hamburgers. The varieties available that day are listed on the blackboard on the wall to your right when you walk in.

The drinks available are on a blackboard on the wall to your left, and these are limited to a few domestics. Soft drinks are limited to bottled water or Ale eight one. Order placement is limited to your seating, which is limited to 12 stools at the counter. Orders are taken beginning at the left end of the counter, moving to the right, one order at a time, one burger completion at a time.

Be forwarned that this isn't the place to go if you're in a hurry! The decor is somewhere between dive bar and Americana diner with stickers from all over the country on the walls and ceiling. There's an old BMX from hanging from the ceiling to the extreme left ceiling, as well as a couple of vintage skateboard decks and motor cycle parts to round out the decor.

The structure itself is an old diner car circa in the 1950s housing this curiously eclectic collection. There are a few stools against the left back wall where you can sit while you wait for the counter stools to become available.

When we entered, the proprietor was playing some really great stoner metal from the band Sleep that wasn't overly loud but added yet another touch to the already unique experience. We were a party of five, all having a great time in this intimate place, enjoying each other company and that of the owner John.

John's hamburgers are started out as balls of ground beef that are flattened out on a griddle that is limited in size, yet adequate to include the strips of bacon for your order.

If needed, there are a few tables outside to sit once you've received your order. Hours of operation are limited, and John closes once he's sold out. Check hours in advance on John's Winks Facebook page for specials and hours.

A really cool experience with a local business owner, the type that needs your help to thrive to keep our downtowns alive.

“I called in an order for breakfast this morning. When my husband got home with the order, they had left out his country ham and gave him the wrong potatoes. I called them and he went back to pick up his meat and potatoes. They more than made up for the simple mistake by giving him a whole piece of ham instead of the half he was supposed to get plus added in a large cinnamon roll. Everything was delicious, especially that homemade gravy! Excellent food and service!”

“Kid-friendliness: My autistic daughter loves the big booths and the open area. It’s one of the few places we bring her where she doesn’t scream. It’s quite a nice ambiance.”

Parking: We usually park in the side. Rarely have a hard time finding a spot but there is plenty of parking all the way around the building.”

This location has a really extravagant interior compared to other locations. Nice tables and large TVs playing football games. Also plenty of parking.

“We came out with a couple of friends to celebrate my birthday a couple of weeks ago! It was quite fun, the staff all around were amazing. The bartenders all have great personalities and interact with you in a fun manner.
The live entertainment that night was amazing and even though one of my friends told them a lie that I was 40 and I had to say I was definitely NOT 40, they were playful with it before singing a cover of The Beatles "Birthday". It put a big smile on my face.
We had a lot of fun playing cornhole and throwing darts. It was a well-rounded, shenanigan filled night out at a great bar! We will definitely be back.”

“Ok it has been a while since I have eaten here, at least a year or more. back then the food quality and customer service had declined dramatically and my family no longer wanted to eat here. I came in today for the first time and found an entirely different experience. I was immediately greated by Josh who is definitely an asset to the restaurant. He was friendly and attentive. The rest of the staff treated me in the same manner as I was checked on and served by multiple people. The one and only aspect of the experience that concerned me was the kiosk. I don't appreciate being asked for a tip before before my dining experience. it's a massive turn off that projects an image of entitlement. I tend to tip based on my experience and when it's good I have no issues with tipping 50% I'm going to go out on a ledge and get the Tip I was prompted to give when I order is divided amongst the staff equally as I was not attend by just one person. if this is the case then I think some points where missed in experience planning. I would propose having people order at the kiosk and get a ticket but not pay at this time. but instead have the ability to go back to the kiosk and possibly order that missed milk shake or burger for the road, or if they are simply done use the ticket to settle their bill and leave a tip based on their experience. I would think this would lead to bigger tips, especially if you point out that it is a shared tip system. Also encourage and reward people for new reviews. let the community see this is not the same S&S . Thanks again Josh!”

“Today we decided to try a new restaurant just outside of Richmond that I had heard rave reviews over. Dos Hermanos is located in the same building as the BP Station, but don't let this fool you at all. This place is my new favorite Mexican restaurant! Very clean inside and the food was better than everyone had described. I had the Dos Hermanos Special which included a grilled chicken breast, grilled steak, special seasoned grilled shrimp on a generous bed of rice with California vegetables. This meal was only $14.99 and was a huge serving. The steak is thin, but very tender and full of flavor. The chicken breast was seasoned and cooked perfectly, but the highlight of the dish without a doubt were the 6 scrumpdullyishous shrimp. These were absolutely to die for! The dish was topped with queso sauce which made every bite even better. My wife had the shredded chicken chimichanga which came with rice and beans. This dish was only $9.99 and was one of the best chimichangas that she has had in a very long time. There was a very generous serving of chicken inside and the flavor was out of this world! There is a very wide variety on the menu and I cannot wait to go back and try something else -- but it will be very difficult to change from what I ordered today. Don't let the fact that this is in the same building as a gas station prevent you from coming here. There is a separate entrance and it is completely separated from the gas station. Again, very clean, excellent food, fast and friendly service. We will return again and again! Without a doubt, the drive is definitely worth the difference.”

“OMG are these the best donuts that I have ever had in my entire life. My husband is on his route in Kentucky and brings these donuts home to the family we can't get enough .They are absolutely amazing we love them ,the kids love them, they are so good. They must have a pastry chef on site who's making these donuts because they are so amazing. But that's not the only thing ! They also have meals at this place that are beyond amazing. My husband got a lunch there and brought some home to me. I had some of their Mac and cheese that was so creamy so cheesy and so flavorful it was unbelievably good!!! We live in Tennessee he has a route in Kentucky we have actually talked about going up there on the weekend just to get a meal and some donuts. Now you know a place is good with gas prices as high as they are that you're gonna travel that far to get some food. If you're in the area , if you're not in the area..... you're gotta go to Richmond KY and get yourself to Doughdaddy's on Moberly Rd. I promise you you won't regret it they're amazing and I also heard they are very nice and a great staff I can't wait to meet them! Anytime my husband has a route in that area he stops in. “Just started going to this location at EKU because Lantern Ridge location has been closed for remodeling since June 1st, 2023. Have been driving up to Hamburg location in Lexington since the EKU location was closed during summer break but EKU reopened this past week and this CFA location is now open. Staff are nice and work very hard as there are usually a lot of customers in line. If you go alone you might have to pay for parking if you dont attend EKU. If you go with someone else one person can go in to pick up food while other sits in car or rides around while waiting.”

“Bespoke made and delivered my wedding cake for August 24th, 2024. The cake was four different flavors due to it being four tiered. The flavors and sizes were 6” - lemon cake, strawberry filling, vanilla buttercream, 8” - chocolate cake, coconut filling, almond buttercream, 10” - champagne cake, strawberry filling, vanilla buttercream, and 12” - almond cake, vanilla buttercream. The chocolate cake was all of my guest favorite. Everyone at the wedding loved how the cake looked and tasted. They also provide an anniversary cake the following year that is included with the wedding cake so no having to save the top layer. I highly recommend them. Hannah (the owner) was amazing and great. She made sure it was all correct a month before the event. I provided the flowers and she placed them on the cake after decorating it and baking it. We placed the topper on it after it was delivered.”
