We stopped in on a road trip and was looking for something besides fast food. We were kindly greeted upon entering and made small talk with other patrons. We ordered burgers, a pulled pork sandwich and a rib sandwich. We also ordered Mac and cheese, Cole slaw and potato salad. Nothing disappointed. The employees were amazing and made conversation feel like we were old friends and encouraged us to mark where we’re from in on their map. My son said we HAVE to stop in our way home! We’re hoping next time we’re in Richmond to try the brisket (they had run out) but everything was delightful!
Wonderful!!! Service was outstanding! We called last minute hoping to be able to get some smoked wings, and enough of them to feed more than 20 Eastern Kentucky University baseball players. To say they they went above and beyond is an understatement. They made sure we were taken care of. I was immediately greeted with a welcoming smile when I walked in to pick up our order. I was also helped out to my car. The food was delicious! The meat was full of flavor and literally fell off the bone. Both the chicken wings and ribs were delicious! I also loved the bbq sauce. To be honest, the wings did not even need sauce. The guys left no crumbs. They raved about the food. Smitty's has made fans for life! We will be back! And I guarantee you'll have some baseball players visiting soon. Thank you so much!!

A few parents were feeding EKU’s baseball team and at the last minute decided to add smoked wings to the menu. They were VERY kind and overly-accommodating! We added the ribs as well, and it was delicious! The meat fell off of the bone!

This spot is a little off the travelled path but well worth the extra 5-10 minutes it takes to get off the interstate and try some local food. Ribs tender, just enough smoke, beans and potato salad excellent! Pulled pork sandwich delicious! Best surprise was the coleslaw, if you like yourscreamy, a little extra on vinegar then thisplace is for you. Location is a small, not fancy building in a mostly residential area. Super friendly owners.

Most delicious ribs I’ve ever eaten! I took a chance on this place while researching where to get some good ribs. So glad I did! The meat was falling off the bone, it was so tender! The barbecue sauce was so, so delicious! I had potato salad and baked beans as sides. Also delicious! The people there were so kind, sweet, and honest! The smoker was smoking outside when I went in, so I know these ribs were cooked to perfection! I haven’t eaten any of their other dishes, but they have to be good as well, because these people definitely know how to put out some good food! It was so great, I think I’ll go back again today!
