The special was the pot roast and it was delicious! They festoon the hot chocolate with marshmallows and whipped cream, and the atmosphere is homey though a little loud.

If you’re looking for a real country breakfast, Melissa’s Country Café is the spot. The food tastes homemade — fluffy eggs, perfectly crisp hash browns, and biscuits that melt in your mouth. The country fried steak with gravy was the star of the plate — hearty, flavorful, and cooked just right. The service was friendly, the coffee stayed hot, and the atmosphere felt like home. Whether you’re a local or just passing through, this place is worth the stop. 🍳☕️

This place has such a comfortable southern atmosphere, you'll feel right at home. The staff is so kind, and gave me a great menu suggestion. I tried to breakfast burrito and let me tell you I'll be thinking about that for a long time. My wife also loved the western omelet! We found this place from all of the Facebook comments on what is the best breakfast place around, and this place did not dissapoint! We will be back

Melissa’s catered our son’s wedding at the end of June. Prior to the reception, I was treated to a catfish dinner when I came to Bowling Green in March for a bridal shower in honor of my DIL. The fish was tasty, but the greens and white beans…spectacular. Those white beans tasted like they had been cooking on some Kentucky Mamaw’s stove…all day on a cold, rainy day. The green beans we had at the reception were doing the Lord’s work. Everything was delicious!

Melissa’s catered our son’s wedding reception and it was delicious! Our guests were served grilled chicken, fried catfish, the most delectable green beans, mac and tomatoes, and roast potatoes. We feasted! I understand catering is not their usual, so visit the restaurant and get your belly full.😊
