Every year my wife and I make the 8 hour drive to Kentucky to enjoy the Bourbon on the Banks Festival and to enjoy touring a few different bourbon distilleries. This year we wanted to tour the Bulleit Distillery. We tried to purchase last minute tickets online for a tour but they were sold out (poor planning on MY part). But I said let’s at least stop by and visit the gift shop. Once there, I decided I’d go ask if they had any last minute cancellations for two. To my surprise they did. Our tour guide was “Claire, with the red hair” (her words not mine). Claire was very knowledgeable about the entire process of making the different products, the distilleries origins & history. She took the time to answer every one’s questions and even funny jokes throughout the entire tour. So if you’re ever in the area and you want an enjoyable experience learning about bourbon? Go see “Claire with the Red hair”. She was quite GREAT!
Booked this one hour distillery tour at Bulleit on a Sunday last minute, and was it worth it!
Arrived to beautiful grounds and a young lady at the front counter greeted us - super friendly, inviting and helpful.
Our tour guide (I believe his name was Ashton) was excellent! Very informative, professional, funny and also helpful. Great tour that moved along at a great pace, very impressive.
Then we moved into the "tasting room" where we sampled 4 different bourbons from the Bulleit line and again, very impressive how Ashton described everything we were tasting, smelling and experiencing. He added in great music that accompanied each sample, very cool!
All in all, 5 out of 5. It was a few miles out of downtown Louisville, but well worth it, thanks again to everyone at Bulleit!
We visited this distillery on a Thursday morning. We waited about twenty minutes for the tour but that was only because we got there early to check in. Other than that, the tour started right in time. Jeremy was our tour guide and he was extremely informative, helpful, and very nice. We did have some minors in our party. They got to participate in the tour and got to sit in on the whiskey tasting. Water and pretzels were provided for them there, while the adults enjoyed the whiskey. We had a great visit and the gift shop is full of treasures to buy and take home. Very nice experience!
Bulleit tour was great. This is a paid tour with tasting. Very informative on history and process. Cute campus and store had lots of different items. We enjoyed visiting.
Out of all the bourbon tours we have done, this was our favorite. Our tour guide, Ash, was awesome! He was extremely knowledgeable, personable, and just overall a good person. I love the pride that Bulleit takes in sustainability too. 10/10 experience.
Loved the atmosphere and love the product!!
What an awesome experience. I was able to visit here 2 days with a distillery tour on Sunday. Be advised if you do the tour on Sunday at 11 you might have to wait for a drink or bottle purchase at 1 pm.The distillery tour was the best part along with the tasting.
Great tour knowledgeable guide with tasting afterwards.
Fantastic tour and experience, there's a good walk through and gift shop. The tasting experience was a lot of fun. You get to sample the bourbon and then try a scent to accompany.Afterwards you can get whatever from the bar and there's a nice selection of merchandise.
Every single person there was a pleasure to deal with! Shelbey Faulkner and her coworkers were super helpful and poured a great few drinks for our group at the bar.A well organized, beautifully designed, and perfectly laid out facility. A great start to my 50th birthday weekend.

We took a tour and did a tasting here at Bulleit and had an exceptional experience all thanks to our guide, Ash. We’ve toured around Kentucky distilleries throughout the week, and we were truly enthralled to have been met with such a personable, knowledgeable, and enthusiastic guide here at Bulleit. He was being tossed random questions left and right and each were met with a quick, thorough answer. He’s the man! The property itself is beautiful inside and out. The grounds were clean, the atmosphere was fun, and the bar inside had some amazing holiday spins on some classic cocktails. Can’t wait to come back on our next trip!
This was our first stop for my friend's bachelorette bourbon tour. I'm not really a bourbon drinker, but I had still had fun! This was honestly maybe my least favorite of the three tours I went on (behind Woodford Reserve and Angel's Envy), but it was a positive experience overall that I'd recommend if you're interested in bourbon or really any kind of alcohol production. Our guide was Brittany. Her tour speeches felt a little canned/unnatural but she was pleasant and funny and clearly very knowledgeable as none of our tour's questions tripped her up at all.For this tour, we got to board a bus and see a little bit of the grounds, see some of the production, and learn about Bulleit's sustainability measures. That last part was unique and I appreciated it.Our tasting consisted of four pours. This tour had little "scent clouds" in small metal tins that we were coached to shake-sniff-sip-sniff. It changed the taste of the bourbon in unique and pleasant ways. I'd never done that before and it was fun. After that, it was on to the clean and attractive gift shop and out to take group pictures. The grounds were pretty and so was the inside so it was easy to get cute photos.Again, since I'm not really a bourbon drinker, it all tasted more or less the same to me. But I had a good time and would definitely encourage anyone with an interest in this kind of thing to check it out.
We did the anatomy of a single barrel tasting. This was our second time at Bulleit and this tasting was so good. We loved the way they set everything up and the guide through the tasting by manipulating our sense of smell to pick up different notes really elevated the experience. One of my favorite tasting experiences on the trail!
Greta market, and the Boozy Brunch was amazing
Great cocktails.
