Cracker Barrel Old Country Store

Never had to complain about the cracker barrel before but today 3/21/25 at 9:30 am we went to the Shelbyville KY one first off not a lot of people there that was good but it was so dark in there I could hardly see the menu and when we got the food it was cold I'm talking cold like it just came out of the refrigerator do better people.

I ordered the new shrimp and grits, and a side of the new seasoned rice, absolutely horrible!! The shrimp and grits were extremely greasy, and the rice was clumped together, cold and bland. The shrimp and grits made me sick all night long, from both ends. We eat cracker barrel 2-4 times a week, as we haul mobile homes and travel for work, but I will just stick to our usual, and never try anything new again.

Waited a long time for the food..a couple that walked in after us got their food and were finished when ours arrived..we just had pancakes 1 egg and sausage.
Everything was cold...awful

The food was burnt and cold.We waited a long time for terrible food.The waitress was also missing in action.Food cost was $41 but wasn’t worth any of that.

Horrible experience, our waitress was not very good, didn't bring biscuits till I asked for them and quickly took them away before my wife could even have one , brought us unsweetened tea when we asked for sweet tea just a horrible experience was not busy at all and I see why

Honestly, I feel more welcomed at Waffle House across the road. Usually on the weekends, we come in and the older lady working the host stand looks grumpy and never says anything and hardly responds on check in. Again, this happens every weekend. Something else that happens every single time is that I ask to start with biscuits while we wait for our breakfast and the waitress brings it out with our meal every time. Our waitress today brought our meal with our biscuits. Brought 1 biscuit each for us and only gave us one jelly for two biscuits and said “sorry I didn’t bring these earlier” . They were not very busy for a Sunday morning and hardly had anyone in the dining room

Received our loaded tots on 11/23/24 barely warm. Shredded cheese wasn't melted. 3yr old could eat them without blowing on them right to the table. 2nd time this has happened.

We were politely and promptly seated in a dining room that was 25% full on a snowy evening. Then we waited... 10 minutes to even be acknowledged by our server Ayden. He had not been in the dining room at all but claimed he was getting food for another table when he finally came to get our drink order. To make up for his inattentiveness (I guess), he lingered too long with extra conversation for a family he had ignored. The food was lackluster... lacking flavor and seasoning on several items. I've eaten at this Cracker Barrel several times before but have never had as poor an experience as this.

The food was okay. Have had better at other cracker barrels. The quantities were very small compared to other cracker barrels.Service was o k, but was never offered a refill. The server was it was very polite.

Parking: Wasn't a lot of spots and was kinda busy.

Waited 45 minutes and only had received drinks. Had a 2 year old with us and waited almost an hour for our food to come out. When 6 other tables had arrived after us but got their food before us that is an issue. I understand that the kitchen can get behind but this was unacceptable. This was the 4th time we have been there in a row and had similar issues. Probably won't be returning in the future.
