My wife and I decided to check this place out on a Thursday night and it was a great decision. You are welcomed as soon as you walk in the door like you are welcomed into someone's home. The entire staff wears two-way radios so everyone is on cue from bringing chips and salsa as soon as you get to your table, to placing you order, to receiving your order just 5 minutes later. Five star rating is based on comparing to similar strip mall Mexican restaurants; obviously, it isn't Jeff Ruby's or 610 Magnolia. Within the strip mall restaurant class, this one stands out. The food was really good (had the Trio Quesadilla), and the service was prompt... almost to the point of too rushed. However, that level of attention was nice. Will definitely return and recommend!
Peppers in Shelbyville is always a favorite for amazing Mexican food and friendly service. The cocktails are excellent and the food comes out fast. One of the best local restaurants in Shelbyville and a reason people love living here.
