“I wanted to give a shout out to danielboonecoffeeshop ! It is a must if you are at Red River Gorge. Just this trip we stopped for their awesome breakfast burritos and coffee! Then one night we just stopped to have cocktails after some dinner at Miguel’s oh and got some amazing banana bread with chocolate chips. Then on the way out in the pouring rain decided to get an omelet, a Bloody Mary, coffee, and souvenirs. Don’t let it being called a coffee shop fool you it has it all!”
“Visited the Gorge for a weekend away. Found this place for dinner. Great friendly service, EXCELLENT food! The Molcajete was soooo good. Plenty to share! It is a little pricy, but portions are large and well worth it!! Salsa is super spicy, good spicy, but just FYI.”
“As if this place didn't have enough flavors to begin with, they also have special seasonal flavors from time to time. Stopped in recently to try the eggnog softserve and it did not disappoint (see picture)! This weekend they had the chocolate and peanut butter softserve, which I added Reese Cup pieces too for a little extra punch of flavor! I was so excited to try it I didn't even think to take a picture this time ?. Staff are always friendly and attentive! We stepped inside the attached gift shop and looked around while enjoying our ice cream since it was chilly outside. The gift shop staff is just as friendly, even though we didn't buy anything. By the way, there is a restroom inside the gift shop if nature calls while you are there.”
“First timer here! Went for a post-hike dinner and I got the Pesto sauce with Bacon, chicken, artichokes, and onions. DELICIOUS! I also had a Pineapple Cider which was super crisp and refreshing. The ambiance at night outside is beautiful with the outdoor seating set up and lighting. Wish the fire was going but regardless it was enjoyable. Family, kid, and pet-friendly.”
“We couldn’t even get someone to answer the phone at Miquels and we were out getting gas and there it was, the orange sign. I went in and was a little afraid when I saw it was an “express”, but they had HOT N READY pizza! It’s hard to find food in the area and we were tired from hiking and just wanted to go eat and relax. But I was really surprised that this Little Caesar’s pizza was the best one I have ever had. Fresh and hot and perfect. Next time we stop on the way in and grab the pizza pizza first before we get to the campsite. Thanks guys! The chocolate chip cookies were awesome too!”
“The best of the state parks! And while all their restaurants are the same, this one has incredible views! And a bar (not open Sundays and Mondays). Good breakfast buffet and the catfish is *chef's kiss*”
“My first time in here and I heard about it from a mountain climbing friend of mine. On this visit it was raining and cold outside, but I imagine the outside area is plenty busy in the summer time. We drove about 3.5 hours to go backpacking in the area and stopped by here before we set up camp. They seemed to have lots of options for beverages and food. We got beers, a lemonade and a pepperoni pizza. All was good and it was nice to unwind a bit after the long drive. The inside dining area is roomy and we definitely had room to spread out. All the servers were friendly and made us feel like regulars. This is a great area to come play outside and you are sure to see like minded people in here.”
“It is the best BBQ we have ate in a restaurant! I take all our friends to Red Point and the atmosphere is just perfect. There is nothing I could complain or critique including their wonderful staff who remembers you!”
“I really like this shop. So much so that I rarely take the time to leave reviews and I feel obligated to do so now. I did not get an ice cream but my 7 year old son did (black cherry) and he says it was "super good". Other flavors at that time were banana foster, pumpkin pie, peach stood out to me and there were quite a few more. The coffee was yummy and is why I'm reviewing because I usually leave disappointed. There were bakery options available that looked really tasty but the one that I really wanted(banana nut bread) was sold out, which can only be a sign that it was super good too. The pottery was beautiful and bathrooms were very well maintained. The lady at the counter was very sweet and patient with my son and with me. If you need a treat after your hike, definitely stop here.Vegetarian options: Vegan Chocolate ice cream”
“My sister and I met for lunch here before our hike. We were both first timers. The thing I love about this place the most if the community feel. They source their food locally whenever they can, they feature local artist on their walls. Everything just has a little extra love in it. The staff are friendly, helpful. Our burgers were amazing. I had the sweet potato fries and they were delicious. Portions are generous, we didn't order the burrito but saw one on another table OMG bigger than the plate! If you're gearing up for a day hiking this is the place. You won't leave hungry ?Parking: The restaurant and parking are on a gravel hill. I had to circle a few times to get a spot. It's a popular place for the amount of available parking. If you're in a 4 wheel drive you might be able to get more creative with your parking.”
“One of my very favorite spots to grab a bite after a long day riding the motorcycle around the Red River Gorge, Skybridge area! They have the best hummus, phenomenal hamburgers, hot dogs and vegetarian optionsfor those who don't eat meat... Best little spot to grab a bite and something to sip on, with great service, and a unique vibe. They have a casual atmosphere and some really cool things to look at while you waitVegetarian options: Very delicious”
“Loved the food, atmosphere and people. Very chill place to hang out, have a drink and eat after a hike. Tons of beer and several cocktails to pick from. Very helpful, lighthearted and friendly peopleI tried the meatball sandwich and mashed potatoes. Potatoes were hand mashed and delicious, great portion of meatballs. The bread pudding with vanilla ice cream was also excellent.Their margaritas are hand made from various ingredients rather than from a mix and you can tell the difference, it was delicious.”
“I love this Subway. The people that work here are wonderful, down to earth people and know how to wash their hands. Lol. Great place to eat and chill. Also, the neighbor is really, super awesome! ?Parking: If there's no room to park,go somewhere else. Simple. I wouldn't wanna wait in line if that many cars were there anyway.”
