The restaurant was very busy. (The parking lot was pretty full.) The server was professional and polite. The food took a very long time to come to the table, as the restaurant was full. My only complaint was when we tried to order the advertised whole pies, they didn't have any. We enjoyed our meals.

Service was good until it was time to pay for our meal. As I was the next person in line to pay, the hostess got off her register and pretended to be on the phone until another person said 'next in line', just for the first lady to turn around and help the person standing behind me. I won't say what it really boils down to, but ignorance would be the best explanation.

This Cracker Barrel needs to hire or better use their available staff. The food was excellent, and our waitress was fine. However, as people were waiting to be seated, there was only one person doing seating. There were several empty tables and more tables waiting to be cleaned. After we ate, and paid, I picked out some clothing to purchase. I stood in line as another customer was being served . When it was my turn, the elderly lady said that I need to go to the other line. She left ONE cashier who had people already backed up into the eating area.Management needs to do better

Kim Black is absolutely wonderful at the Somerset Cracker Barrel. She greets us with a smile every single visit and even calls us all by name — which makes you feel like family the second you walk in the door. She treats everyone with genuine kindness, patience, and the kind of hospitality you don’t find everywhere anymore.
Kim goes above and beyond to make sure your experience is easy and enjoyable, whether you’re dining in or picking up an order. You can tell she truly cares about the people she serves, and it shows in every interaction.
