I love going to Cracker Barrel. I always end up buying from the general store. I love the selection of kids clothes.
We quit eating here for over a year because we were so disappointed in the food and the service. While traveling we tried it again and were no less disappointed. Just reinforced why we stopped going to Cracker

I had a hamburger steak that I had ordered medium well and it was burnt so bad i through it in the trash. It’s a shame what you have to pay for food and when you get home it’s so bad you can’t even eat it. Cracker Barrel use to be a good place to eat but those days are long gone. I would not recommend eating at this restaurant.

We are starting out on our first camping trip of the year with breakfast at Cracker Barrel in Somerset KY. It was excellent! Keirstyn, our waitress, was great. Quick service, nice atmosphere, and good prices.
I hate the wait.... Sometimes I think they make you wait so you will look thru the country store. Good family atmosphere. Food is good. Try the 6pc crispy chicken strips. It includes 2 sides and biscuits. For $12.99 it's a really good deal!

First off, the fireplace was being cleaned and the smoke and ash smell was so strong, it made one of the people, I was with, sick.
We ordered our food, but almost an hour after we ordered, the waitress brought out the food, but screwed up all three of the orders.
We had to send half of the food back to be remade, 1st set of pancakes were burnt. My autistic child's order was wrong, but finally got fixed. Had to wait way too long for any of it.
Had to get the messed up orders to go, because the soot smell was too strong.
Over 50 dollars later and none of the food or service was worth it.
Personally, i feel like there needs to be a sign posted on the door when there is a fireplace cleaning in process. Maybe that would let people with asthma know not to enter.
Anyway, we will not be visiting our cracker barrel again, any time soon.

I ordered a late lunch for take out and they were out of pinto beans. I ordered bean and greens. I was very disappointed to not receive pinto beans. Greens were good though.
The atmosphere is as always, honey and welcoming. We requested that they light a fire as we were seating in front of the fireplace and we had seen a manager putting wood in the grate bit we’re told it was too warm to light a fire at that time.
Our service was timely and our server professional, friendly and accommodating. Our order took a bit of time and that is where my issue is. My wife’s order was hot and fresh while mine was cold with very small portions.
The price was reasonable and we enjoy eating there and we will be back but if our food is cold, it will be going back.
Parking: Lots of parking in a clean, well lit lot.
Kid-friendliness: The restaurant was filled with children and as we waited to be seated, every server seating customers made sure all children had proper seating for all age children.

The new way of cooking the vegetables is not very tasteful. The green beans tasted as if they were just poured out of the can and had no seasoning. The carrots were not seasoned and were watery and some were hard in the center. The pinto beans do not have the rich flavor and some beans were hard. The corn bread was not browned. On this one visit the tea was bitter. Tea is usually very good.

Service is always friendly and food is delicious! Always enjoy it when I come here and eat.
I ate there last Friday night and was really anxious to eat the vegetable plate , after almost being knocked down by so rudely by a server walking right in front of me and didn't even say excuse me or I am sorry even though I told her she almost caused me to fall... I even told the host and he said he saw that .. I was seated and was asked almost immediately when the server took order for a drink and I hadn't opened up the menu because I had just sat down...any way the vegetables of pinto beans, fried okra, mashed potatoes and bread were cold the carrots were semi warm ..I received my meal after a thirty minute wait and not one time did my server check on me .. it had been 2 years since I was in Cracker Barrel and I told the cashier it would probably be 2 more years or more before I go back again...THEY NEED TRAINING!!!
