Restaurants in Somerset

“I've been to the Chalet for dinner and lunch and I have not been disappointed. The food is delicious and the wait staff are the best!”

“I am a big fan of Herbalife and when I walked into the store, it was very beautiful. But if you value your lungs at all when you’re stopping by the shop, don’t make plans to sit inside. They have some type of very strong candle wax going on and I literally smelled like a candle when I got in my car I couldn’t even breathe. Anyone with COPD could definitely not even walk in the store.”

“Many of our guests told us that it was the best “wedding food” that they had ever eaten. The Chicken Kentuckian is to die for. Sandy even met with me a month before the wedding to do a table mock up. You can’t go wrong with Sassy Spoon! Sandy gets the most minute of details just right.”

“Absolutely love the cakes!! They have wonderful flavor and the decorations are amazing!! She is super sweet and amazing to work with!!”

“love there pizza and you cant get unlimited toppings”

“Fantastic food, friendly service and one of the cleanest restaurants I've ever seen! Who knew how good their breakfast sandwiches would be?! and their lunch sandwiches look even better!! I've ordered plenty of ham and turkey for the holidays from here but don't sleep on their daily service! I now even plan to grab some sliced turkey to add to my daughter's school lunches! Super friendly folks, can't recommend them enough. ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐”

“I love this place. everyone is so nice the food is awesome especially the pizza best ever ❣ the Bingo games are so much fun, pay out is great too. If you want a fun night out with friends or a fun date night. this place is great 👍 ❤❤❤❤”

“ordered a 32 piece and were not disappointed! got Nashville hot and santa fe. Nashville wasn't very hot but still tasty. wings were great size and cooked perfectly. so juicy. fries also good. just needed a tad more seasoning. 8 out of 10 will order again!”

“Cierra provided superb service this evening. Very personable and attentive. I had a NY strip, baked potato, salad, and IPA. A fly kept flying around me and that was annoying. No fault to this team here.”

“This review really isn’t to rehash the past or dwell on an old experience. I’m writing it because I genuinely want to pay homage to the manager on duty right now on October 3 2026 at 3:04 PM who took the time to help me today.

I had the opportunity to speak with her for about 5-15 minutes and I really have to take a moment to acknowledge the service coming from this lady . I really appreciated how willing she was to listen to me , to help me, and to take the time to work through everything with me. Extremely helpful throughout the entirety of our conversation, and I could tell that she genuinely wanted to make sure my concerns were addressed.

After having tried to get in contact with someone previously, I’m honestly really glad I finally got the opportunity to speak with her ( GOSH what is her name ! ) . She could have easily brushed the situation off because some time had passed, but instead, she took the time to hear me out and work toward a resolution.

This kind of customer service deserves recognition. I genuinely appreciate the way she handled our conversation today and I wanted to make sure her effort didn’t go unnoticed. Unnamed Manager on duty right now , you rock ! I’m looking forward to giving Texas Roadhouse another chance, and I hope this review gets back to her because she deserves to know that her kindness and willingness to help made a difference.( If i find her name I will edit this review hahahaha )

Edit ( okay so I just called the store and her name could possibly be Siara . Siara if it is you , you are truly amazing !)”

“It has been a long time since a restaurant has completely and thoroughly impressed me. Peruvian cuisine would normally not have been on my radar, but we were traveling and decided to try something new. The manager met us at the door and shook everyone's hands and greeted us in the kindest way possible. The servers were extremely knowledgeable with the menu and the origin of the foods. Then the food came out. I'm not exaggerating one bit when i say we were all blown away with the quality, flavor and presentation of the food. IT WAS AMAZING !!! We will be back soon to enjoy this phenomenal family owned and operated restaurant.”

“We LOVE El Mezcal Mexican Grill - Restaurante & Taqueria! It is our families favorite place to eat in Somerset. Jesus & his staff do a phenomenal job. They are super friendly, the food is always amazing, it's affordable and they're always happy to see customers! The authentic tacos are our favorite but the shrimp fajitas are a close second. The margaritas are on point! There are tons of mexican options in Somerset that are good, but this family owned gem is our spot. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️”

“The food was awesome, but the service even better. We had never been to a Slim Chickens before but are getting one in our town (opening Monday in London, KY). We were in Somerset and decided to give it a try to see if we should be happy to be getting one or nah. We went into the restaurant as you do all new places; a bit confused as to what is offered, what you should order, even the flavors of things. To my delight, the young lady behind the counter (named Jessi S. ) immediately made us feel comfortable- not rushed at all- while admittedly my husband and I were taking a bit. In fact, she very happily explained the menu, the flavors of the sauces, the different options and even her personal thoughts about the food (basically ALL of it was amazing she said with complete sincerity that was seen in her face, but she shared a few personal favorites as well). We thoroughly enjoyed each bite of our tenders and wings, and might I add that your ranch is ah-mazing! I believe I could nearly wash everything down with it! Back to the service, I made eye contact near the end of our meal with Jessi and she asked what we thought, once again expressing true interest our opinions. I don't know about the rest of your staff, as this was our first visit and we only interacted with Jessi, but she is a Jewel! very good for your business. Wow. We left both feeling very pleasantly surprised and thoroughly convinced that we will be loyal customers of the Slim Chickens we are receiving here in London, after just one visit at your Somerset store.”

“I have bought many things over the years from Yellow Bird. Today Kayla made my husband a carrot cake to surprise him for his birthday. After we ate some our whole family agreed this is the best cake! It was so incredible! I asked her to put pineapples in it and the dried pineapples on the top were perfect! I can’t brag enough on this bakery. You will not be disappointed!”

“I have been a customer of el taxco since they opened managers and servers have changed quite a bit in the last 20 years however food is normally good servers work hard to make sure I'm taking care of and even though prices have gone up this is my go to comfort place, here you can relax and rest assured you will leave satisfied”

“If we could give this place a 6 out of 5 we would! The food is absolutely delicious, the environment is great, and the best service we have received at any restaurant in many years! The first day of our getaway we came here due to being close to our hotel. The second day we came back due to the amazing food and service! I wish we had one closer to our home in Hartford, KY. The first day we had 5 servers and a manager checking on us. The second day we had our waiter, the off duty bartender, and the manager. I can not praise this staff enough and look forward to our next trip!”

“We love eating at Penn Station in Somerset! Sandwiches are always made fresh, exactly how we like them (and we’re picky), and the service is always amazing!! I think it’s also important to note how much the manager Heather Compton does for our community here in Pulaski County. She is always willing to help support local sports teams and even goes above and beyond with other local fundraising specials when necessary. That’s the kind of businesses we like to support, and then spread the word. Definitely recommend Penn Station in Somerset, KY!”

“If you are having lunch in the hospital (unless you work there) you are probably not having a good day. One thing I enjoyed was the fast, friendly service from this Subway location. They offer basic Subway food that seemed fresh. The added benefit of a large clean dining area is the privacy it allows to clear your head and pray for loved ones. Sometimes the small things in life make a huge difference.”
