best food & service in somerset
I travel often and have tried a lot of local places. The Charred Oak is now on a select list of the best places I’ve been in my 11 state territory.
The fried chicken sandwich was great but the bourbon cheese was just criminal. Absolutely off the chart good.

Had a group of 15 everything was great. I dont like muscles but theirs are wonderful great food and great service

Charred Oak Grill offers delicious brisket, chicken nachos, and the best cheeseburger in town. The restaurant has a great menu, with outstanding dishes that show the chef’s pride in their work. The atmosphere is warm and inviting, and the service is excellent, with attentive and friendly staff making for a relaxed and enjoyable dining experience. The bourbon bar features reasonably priced bourbon and steak options that are pretty good. The Sriracha Bourbon wings are amazing, and the short rib, though a little pricey, is fantastic. The patio is dog-friendly, perfect for a casual meal. The onion rings are huge and delicious, and the nacho chips are crispy and amazing. Despite some minor issues like hard sour cream and meh fries, the restaurant provides excellent food and service. Located in downtown Somerset, it’s a must-visit spot for a tasty meal that can suit everything from a family outing to a date night.
