Please let me start off by saying I hate indian food but this place was amazing I got chicken marsala with garlic non something so simple that blew me away. Portions that not only filled me up but fed 2 people a lobby so intricate in design and people with such an up beat attitude. This place is wonderful im definitely becoming new regular.

When someone tells you there’s a hole in the wall with the best food I’ve ever had, they are talking about this place!!! The decor makes no sense (there’s a stage?) and the waiter who took our order was an older man that was old us how to order. With that said, the food was beyond explanation!!! The tandoori chicken to the masala to the desserts were just out of this world. My husband’s dish was sweet, sour, perfectly spiced in ways I’ve never tasted before (and I’ve had a ton of Indian food in my life). Every sauce was uniquely different and offered just as much as the last one. My one son told the owner that he felt like he was in heaven. Get over to Somerset and get ready to enjoy an experience like nothing you’ve had before. Bollywood movies playing in the background, a full fountain drink center to serve yourself and the most tremendous food you’ll ever eat. I felt like I was at someone’s house who loved me. Please go!!!

Restaurantji Recommends
My wife and I went to this restaurant with no expectations. We were greeted by the owner, took our seats and ordered our beer. I have lived and traveled through India for a quite a while and know good Indian food when I see it. We ordered Palak Paneer, the curry chicken and the garlic naan. The food was excellent, some of the best I've had in the US in a long time. The spice was balanced, excellent flavors and all around an excellent meal. Highly recommend this restaurant. Never ever thought we would find this level of excellence in Somerset.

Title: Great Experience (Also for Vegans)
My visit to Mirch Masala was very positive. The staff is extremely friendly and helpful. I was there for lunch (buffet 11am - 3pm) and wasn't sure which dishes were suitable for me as a vegan. The owner personally advised me and showed me that the chickpea curry and the vegetable curry were available, along with some side dishes. That was great, because even though lots of the buffet contained meat and cream/ milk, there were more than enough delicious options for me as a vegan.
The food was very good overall. The curries with rice and the crispy bread with the two sauces (mint and onion) were particularly delicious.
Also good prices and good quality.
A clear recommendation!

I am not a fan of Indian food, I found it tolerable. However, the owner was very very awesome. He cares for diners personal and takes pride in what he does. He deserves your busineas.
