A very nice experience! Lunch menu had good selection. Crab appetizer sauce and fresh lump crabmeat was just delicious. Our fish sandwich was one of the best we have ever had and that includes Florida trips. Beautiful venue, great service, and quality food have us talking about what we will order on our next visit.

We came here for a birthday celebration. We started off with appetizers, Escargot – garlic, white wine, butter, and parsley. this was served with grilled French bread, we also had the Breie en croute, which is breaded brie with spiced pecans, bourbon soaked cranberries with a red wine gelee served on a toasted focaccia> Moving on to the salades the Roasted Red Beet or the Apple Salad is an excellent choice. We combined that with a cup of French Onion Soup For entrees I had the Steak Diane, which is a Seared filet medallions, mushroom brandy cream sauce, Boursin mashed potatoes My wife had the Cervena Venison – bone in chop grilled and served with demi glaze, parmesan polenta. For dessert we enjoyed the Hazelnut Crepes. All in all it was good dinning experience

This was our first experience at The Chalet. The food was very good and service was exceptional. The venison was the best I've ever had. If you're looking for a great place to eat off the beaten path of Somerset, you need to try Ths Chalet. Can't wait to dine here in the summer!

I visited The Chalet early afternoon just after lunch. Not busy at all. Ruthie, who was my server, seated me and poured me a drink. Not light handed at all with the pour. I orded the crab appetizer with the lemon aoli and it was really good. The only thing i would say is that the parma crisp was cold and tasteless and i didn't think it belonged. Probably big enough for two, though. For my entree i had the meat loaf and it was also very good. The potatoes could've used a little more seasonings but I'm kind of pepper heavy. The beans were excellent. Very well prepared and seasoned. The service was good all around and it didn't break the bank. Will visit again.

Best place in town for special dinner or just a quick bite. Never been disappointed! The food, service, and atmosphere is unmatched. Would love to see the Chilean Sea Bass, Sea Scallops, and Shrimp Florentine return to the menu. Also more dishes with risotto as a side. Love the Chalet!!

The Chalet far exceded our expectations. Our cocktails were perfectly prepared, our appetizers, salads, and main courses were brought out in a timely manner as we requested. Every detail from the greeting upon entering, to the explanations provided by the staff as requested while ordering, to the quality and presentation of all our courses were outstanding. Most importantly, for me as an individual with an allium allergy, this is the most accomodating restaurant I have ever been to. We moved to Kentucky in August 2023, and have spent most of our lives in the New England area. With the exception of The Chalet, I usually end up with no option for appetizers, no salad dressings, no sides, and a piece of meat or fish that is tastless. The staff at The Chalet prepared a special menu for me with explanations about the adjustments they could make for each menu item. I actually had so many options it took me sometime to decide, and I had my first 3 course meal in over 15 years. Oh yes, the bread did not have garlic either! We highly recommend The Chalet to everyone, especially individuals with allergies. If you make a reservation a day or two in advance, they will have enough time to plan for your needs.

We love going to the Chalet. The place is beautiful and quiet. The service was great. Very attentive wait staff. Intimate setting and the food was top notch. The soups were exceptional. French onion was in my top two.

Beautiful place with white linens, good drink menu, very courteous staff. Filet is great dish. The mood is nice as it's not too lit for a nice romantic evening or dinner out with friends. Music plays in the background but could be a bit louder. We have been there a couple times now and it's pretty quiet. If someone local could get a corner and play acoustic music a night or two a week would be awesome.
