Peking Restaurant

Today was one of the worst experiences I think I have ever had. We walked in and had said just two our toddler was not eating (she is so picky) they said okay and then has we are eating the lady at the front came up to us and asked us how old our daughter was bc if she didn’t ask she would get in trouble. I thought it was weird but still answered. Again our child did not eat a bite all she did was play in rice which was spilt on the table. They came again and asked if she was eating and again we said no she’s picky. They said okay and walked to the register and just watched us and laughed and smiled. It was so awkward, we don’t even eat, we was there maybe 10 mins. Didn’t even eat, had an awkward and bad experience plus paid $35 dollars. I definitely won’t be going back when the blonde waitress is there.

I have went to Peking for as long as I remember! I went on dates there in high school, I went to eat there on my first trip out after having my baby, it’s always been a staple. Recently I was diagnosed with some food allergies, two of them being soy and dairy. I thought truly, how could I have Peking then? Well they just walked through the menu with me for like 10 minutes and helped me come up with an amazing order that I can have!! I feel so grateful ❤️

Went in there today with my wife and we got the buffet like everyone does and she got the rice and noodles and so did her friends and the rice was old and hard and the noodles was old and burnt everything we got was cold and they did nothing to fix the problem still made me pay for everything and didn’t try to make it right

Hands down the best Asian buffet I have ever found. When I lived in the area I would frequent here at least weekly. Now that I have moved it I make a point to have lunch or dinner here every time I’m back in town. The service is friendly and efficient, the food is always fresh and delicious, and the prices are extremely affordable. Having lived in East Kentucky and Lexington and traveled extensively, I have yet to find an Asian buffet that is comparable.

Bigger guy. Brought my buddy along, service was good by waitresses, only suggestion would be is if 2 bigger guys come in. Don't assume we're wanting buffet.

Some of these reviews are wild. Especially ppl claiming they are well-traveled and give this place high praise. The food is terrible. How are you going to undercook rice of all things at a Chinese restaurant while the rest of the food tastes burnt. And what's up with the whole lunch/dinner situation? That one review saying they had Chinese food from NY to Seattle must not have left the airport. Panda Express is better than this place. Shout out to the front desk lady tho, asking for tips at a buffet like she working tables Just wild.

If you're traveling through, give it a shot. The flavors there are totally different than those in more populated/diverse areas. I make it a habit to get some, freeze it, and bring it back to NC for the random change up.

Took my kids there to eat to celebrate the end of their basketball season. Was there 10 minutes before dinner (which is at 2:30). And was told lunch was over. We were told we would have to wait the 5-10 minutes until lunch was over to get seated. I understand not wanting people to take advantage of lunch. But if you’re going to end lunch at 2:20 or 2:25 don’t post a sign that says it’s over at 2:30 and not honor it.

I normally don’t post about food .. but I got take out off the bar.. it was nasty pepper steak onions were like out side rim wasn’t peeled right steak was so tough couldn’t chew it.. The crab Rangoo was worst I have ever eat nothing in it and what you could taste had no taste to it.. they need to do something won’t eat there again..
