Wineries near Spottsville

“I went here back in October 2023 with my husband. We were exploring the Shawnee Wine Trail in Southern Illinois and found some wineries in Kentucky to try. The woman who helped us was extremely knowledgeable and very friendly. She provided us with some suggestions of wineries and restaurants to try out. I absolutely ADORE the Norton and the Traminette. The Norton is perfect to use if you are making beef stew or braised short ribs. I'm not a huge fan of white wines, but the Traminette is delicious on its own or for cooking. My husband and I finished that bottle in no time. I only wish I lived closer (I live on the opposite side of Illinois near Chicago), but if you are traveling through Southern Illinois and/or Western Kentucky, PLEASE make a stop here when you can.“
